Took the online class and it was very easy. Graded on a discussion and a 3-5 question dropbox assignment every week. Midterm and final were so easy.

Comment:

This class isn't an awful online class. You just have to be very careful when reading due dates because one isn't very specific. The 2 tests (midterm and final) are impossible. You can know your stuff and still do poorly. Do well though because theres no extra credit

Comment:

Terrible. Lectures are slow, she constantly rambles, uses no visual aid, and when she manages to complete a sentence she goes off on tangents. 3 tests worth 25% each, a paper due near the end worth 20%, and participation is 5%. If you keep up with the textbook you'll probably do fine, but do yourself a favor and don't bother with this class.

Good-Elman is a nice lady but her lectures are extremely boring. Not good at public speaking, takes very long to finish a simple sentence. The whole class she just reads from the book. If you participate she will love you, because most people just bury their faces in their phones. It was an easy A but I feel like I hardly learned anything.

Comment:

Elman is a very nice women, her class is not hard, but public speaking is not her strong suit. She reads almost directly from the textbook, and doesn't really move whole time. Also Elman would write random things on the board so if you were not paying attention you were lost, no power points. Overall her test's were simple and the 1 paper not hard.

I took Gender and the Humanities online and it is the easiest A ever. There is midterm and final but as long as you have the textbook in front of you they are easy. 10 discussions, super easy. There is a lot of reading but all of the stories are very interesting. Good class would take again.

Let me tell you all, if you take her class expect 'F' grade for it. She's very tough and boring. Students in my class fell in asleep. She only use text book to tech you. No power points or helpful articles. She just repeat the whole entire book again and again. Take a different professor and be happy.

she's extremely boring, however she's a joke to take. easiest A you'll ever get. you don't need to even bother doing the readings, she goes over them in class. tests are multiple choice and true-false. essays can be on whatever and she grades easily. take her if you want an easy A (but be prepared to fall asleep.)

Very nice lady, a little on the boring side but easy. Who cares if she's boring if your going to get an A? 2 easy test which are only true or false. And 3 essays which are on anything you want. Plus she is a very nice person and cares about her students, gives many chances and attendance is not mandatory

I wish I would have been warned a little. Shes a very sweet person if you need help but in class she is a drone reads out of the book and goes on tangents. No participation needed you can sleep its that bad. You MUST READ THE TEXT she will not explain much in class. No HW 1 research proj, 3 multichoice tests. If you can stay awake youll do fine.

I read the comments about her before I took the class and i was worried, after taking the class i was so happy that i did! she is a very sweet lady. yes it can get a little boaring at times but she uses the text and doesnt hide anything. easy grader. if you do your work and come to class you will do great. take this class!!!!!

Good-Elman is a sweetheart, very boring, but the topic is interesting, she has probably been teaching for years and years and thinks her students are getting nastier by the year, Easy A if you do your work, the sexism book had awesome stories. She doesn't give tests, just papers and an open book test.

Yes, the class can be boring, but if you do the work, and actually discuss it with her and the class, you can get alot out of the class,as well as some interesting discussions going. VERY BORING!!!! She is an easy A if you can tolerate the class. You need to do some of the readings beacause some questions on the test are based on assigned readings and have 3 easy papers to write. Basically the class is easy, she is just annoying.
