Profe taught me so much about Hispanic culture in a welcoming environment in Span 009 (spanish for spanish speakers) but he didnt lecture when it came to spanish grammar and only graded on a few assignments. Also, I had never taken a spanish class before in my life so I had to get extra help.

He appears stern and intimidating, but he's genuinely a funny guy. As a non-native speaker sometimes I felt he favored the native speakers. However, he is very supportive and appreciates the effort and active participation of non-native speakers; he just wants everyone to try. The tests are memorization of authors and works, and essay questions.

By far one of the BEST professors at SMC. Pro is very knowledgeable and always willing to help you out. He has the best interest in his students. He pushes you to reach your potential. Very funny and makes class interesting. I highly recommend taking him!

Profe is the best. I went to Mexico with him and it was great! He can be pretty tough and he's really big on attendance. In Spanish classes he expects a lot especially on the papers. When he says no late work he means it. If you think you can handle a tough class then taking Profe is so worth it! You'll learn a lot.
