Comment:

Surprised about the RMP because I think she has done a great job. Sometimes there're worksheets for hw but overall we only had 2 big papers for the course. Was very understandable like avoid having deadlines right after the break and was approachable during office hours. Takes attendance and you'll have to listen to her feedback for good grades.

Comment:

She starts class before the actual start time and if you aren't there when she takes attendance, she gets judgy. She just is really tough on grading and unless you plan to cater to one professor's writing style your entire life, I doubt she is gonna actually teach very much that is applicable. Beware of lists and fishing for answers.

Comment:

Hasn't given us our class grade and the semester is almost over. Literally told us our first paper that was 2 pages in length was MEANT to confuse us, as we were all struggling and turned it in worried. Spends most classes making lists and makes you feel bad if you don't have anything to add to the super long list. Would not recommend at all.

She is a horrible professor. She grades solely on her personal opinion of your story and gives terrible and vague feedback. She said to me, it was just a medium paper. I didnt really like it that much, when I asked why I lost points. She didnt tell me how I could improve so that means you have to try and guess what her standards are. Just awful

She is honestly a great professor. My specific english class we only met once a week - which meant that there was a new paper due ever 2/3 weeks. The paper topics were relative to my lifestyle and I overall enjoyed them as well as appreciated her feedback. It is important to show up to every class as she does take attendance.

Dr. Cool decides what your grade will be the first time you walk into her classroom. She bases her opinion of you on first impression and grades everything based on that impression. She seems to teach the course with a specific mindset on how things should be, and does not even grade papers based on anything more than her opinion. DO NOT TAKE!

I had her for my English course and the whole course consisted of group projects that had you make power points on MLA format. You'll end up spending a majority of your time in groups making power points on information you've learned back in high-school. If you don't like group projects or wasting your time then I don't recommend this professor.

The material was extremely easy, but she still grades the papers fairly, so beware. She is a very nice lady and she will like you if you at least TRY to participate. In Eng 1130 she did not give a single test (no final either), just 3 essays. Sometimes what she expects on the essays is unclear, but if you talk to her in her office, she will help.

she is the worst teacher i have ever had. do not take her. she tells you wat she wants in your paper and is constintly contradicting herself. she grades papers extremly harsh. she plays favorites for sure and if you arent one of them your grade will suffer. avoid taking her at all costs she is the worst teacher of my time in school.

Explains topics in an extremely understandable way! Gets to know her students and really takes the time out to make sure they're understanding the course. Yes, there's work involved. There are 3 major papers and she does a peer review for each draft. It's a bit of work, but it really helps to be able to fully understand the course!

Hardest grader I've ever had. I dont know anyone that got an A in the class. She teaches the same thing for every paper, and her workshops dont help your paper. Avoid if possible, especially if your looking for an easy A.

Class was a waste of money and of time. An essay is assigned to the class, where she then has you peer revise it. She gives little effort in helping with your writing of the paper. I can honestly say my high school english benefited me more.

She trys to keep the class fun and interactive. If you're are shy person DONT take her, if you don't participate in class discussion she will start to grade you papers harder. All the material she teaches comes together at the end for the final paper.
