Professor Dzida is so cute! He tends to get a little off topic with the lectures but his grading criteria is super clear. Tests are take home and the homework takes a bit of your time, there's lots of reading involved so make sure you don't procrastinate.

Comment:
Prof. Dzida is a great instructor. His lectures are sometimes too focused and he'll go off on tangents, but I see it as a drift into deeper thought. I really wish class would be longermore intimate (that is, have only the students that actually want to be there and have a real interest in his lectures), because that's the preferred setting for him

He's boring but ridiculously easy as long as you show up to take the quizzes, which are almost everyday. No homework ever besides doing the optional study guide, but I always did my in class because he takes all quiz material off of it and not from lecture.

I don't know why people are bashing Dzida. He is the kindest and easiest teacher ever. It is guaranteed that you will get A. I had some schedule conflicts and needed an extension of a deadline and he was so understanding! I love him! Wish he taught every courses offered!

I was very interested in learning about religions but it turned out Dzida did not know much at all. There are 21 quizzes based on the assigned readings for homework. Class is mandatory which is the only reason I kept attending. Usually he plays videos that are dull and when he lectures and students ask ?'s, his answers consist of "I'm not sure."

His class is kind of an easy A.There are daily readings and quizzes that go with it. He doesn't go over them in class, but he expects you have read it.There are 2 tests that are related to the readings. No midterms/finals. You don't have to take notes during the lectures because it's just him stating his opinions. Take him if you have no choice tho

its a scientifically proven fact that you wont find a class more boring than his. Easy. But excruciatingly boring.

The class is a super easy A, however his lectures are painfully boring to listen to. I learned absolutely nothing from his lectures, (which are all based on his own opinions) so all learning really has to take place on your own.

He is undoubtedly the most boring person in the world. The class is an easy A but watching the guy at Albertson's put away the shopping carts is more entertaining and interesting the class.

I always think about Dzida from time to time. I took the class a couple years ago when the teacher never showed and Dzida took over the class. I have no opinion on what you should do in regards to choosing the class or not. Though he can be quite the enigma. With that said, I'm glad he is at Saddleback.

The class is easy to ace if you show up and do the readings. There are daily quizzes that correlate with whatever reading he assigns. No midterm and no final. But be careful, his lectures tend to jump all over the place and he can be very confusing. Overall pretty simple class.

He is a nice man; not a great teacher. The class is very easy; lectures very boring; but sometimes the class gets on a good, eventful conversation. The reading is dull, but the information learned was interesting.

The lectures are VERY BORING most people in the class struggle to stay awake. They contain the same material every class. You have assigned seats and the good days are when you watch movies. Do the study guides for the reading and look over it before the quiz and youll do fine

If you plan to learn a lot about religions you're probably going to be doing a lot of the research on your own. Class is an easy A, but extremely exhausting to sit through his lectures. Instead of teaching fundamentals of religion he just complains about all the things he does not like or understand about the different religions we go over. Other than that the entire class is based off of videos and reading assignments.

Easiest class. Quite a lot of homework but it's not hard. Just reading and answering questions. I slept almost everyday in class and he didn't care. He's awesome. Take him!

Easy class, boring teacher. I expected much more interesting material from this class. He's a nice guy, but he's old-fashioned and tends to ramble. Seats are assigned, he doesn't accept emails (you have to literally mail things out to him), and attendance is mandatory. There's A LOT of hw and 2 take-home tests--they're easy, but tedious.

attendance is mandotory! i undurstood most of the material, most of it was his way or the highway because he dosen't like the book alot.on test he lets you use your H/W, which you can correct an use on the test. So, go to class,do the HW, Correct it, and don't get distracted in class! over all cool teacher, and i got a good grade :)
