I found Professor Kaufman inspirational. She taught us art history with clarity and passion and I learned to engage with art of the past and to analyze it with confidence. I am only sad to hear that she has retired.

One of my all time favorite professors. She was demanding and straight to the point. She never failed to inspire you to want to know more and push past your self imposed limitations.

Granted, she was a very intelligent art history teacher. Okay...that said, what a nightmare teacher!! I have never been scared of a teacher in college before I met her. She did not have one ounce of humor in her and made teaching so boring. One time, in a class she taught with hannum, hannum fell asleep too! Everyone got a good laugh at that 1
