Dr. E is a great guy but his teaching style is not the best for everyone.I found his teaching style hard to learn from and ultimately had to teach myself most of the material. Dr. E loves it when you show up to help rooms so make sure you try to go to those!!

Best teacher. First test i got a 62. Second test he said if i got it up he'd take the difference of the two and put half on the 62. I got an 86, so i also got a 74. He cares about people passing the class. He had 4 study sessions in one day. He wants his students to pass, and he wants you to understand. It's not easy, but he'll help you. 100% best

Extremely boring classes and I would almost fall asleep. I never learned a single thing in his class. Taking his class was a waste of time and money for me. I DO NOT recommend taking a class with Dr. E.

Dr. E is 1) knowledgable 2) available for help almost all of the time and 3) passionate about econometrics and finance. I have had him for two independent studies and both were rewarding experiences. I would credit the work done helping me to dream job as a trader on Wall Street. Not easy, but if you put in the effort you will get alot out.

Boring professor. He mostly lectures and the "discussion" seems to be more about getting us to agree with him, than allowing us to present our opinions. He openly hates teaching this class, and it shows. His projects are lame, and have little outward relevance to the topic at hand. Minority or differing opinions are not encouraged.

Not always the clearest or the most animated, but still a great professor and very intelligent. He's always willing to meet with students if you don't understand and is a great honors mentor and advisor.
