Walkling has been my absolute favorite professor. I'm going to be taking another class with him next semester. As long as you do the assigned readings and engage in discussion, the class becomes fun and interesting. There's a LOT of reading, but as long as you make an effort, he will help you succeed.

Andrew is a great professor. He is very nice, makes class interesting and always willing to work with his students, both in class and out of class. THEA304 is a tad difficult due to all of his notes being verbal. You gotta really pay attention to what he says. There are two projects, quizzes and two papers. Not bad, spread apart in the semester.

Great guy. Funny, engaging lecturer. Very theatrical (it was Shakespeare though). Very easy to talk to, and makes time to meet with you. Cares about students (he pulled me aside one class and talked about my future and whether I was using the class to the fullest extent). Extremely knowledgeable. A true Renaissance man, and he has awesome hair.

Great person. His lectures are awesome, and I really felt smarter after attending his lectures. He really knows what he is talking about. Also, if you ask for help, he will give it to you and then some. Really wants his students to do well, and as long as you do what he asks you will do well.

Prof Walkling's lectures were consistently entertaining. I felt that I had learned a great deal after every class. His enthusiasm is matched by how knowledgeable he is and by his eagerness to help his students learn. He looks like a sitter for an early modern painting, in the best way! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to take this class.

Undoubtedly the most competent and enthusiastic professor out of the three universities I've attended throughout the U.S. Professor Walkling is a Renaissance Man, to say the least. There is very little room for error in his class (which I'm currently enrolled in) but this is a genuine teacher who cares about your education and your time.

I would highly reccomend Prof. Walkling. At the beginning of the semester he clearly lays out expectations, and if you follow them you do well. His understanding and passion for the subject, as well as his his animated lectures, make the courses enjoyable and the content more interesting. One of my favorite professors I've had the past three years.

The most entertaining professor I've ever had. He's animated and hilarious. He is so passionate about London and really wants his students to feel the same way. He is willing to stay all night during the review session. Don't take this class if you are looking for straight forward English or Art History, only if you care about London.

Professor Walkling made the very uninteresting subject of Early Modern London quite entertaining. He's a little bit crazy, but very enthusiastic, a fair grader, and a generally nice guy. Don't let your phone go off in class, and go to his review sessions!

If I could go back to the beginning of the semester and drop this professor's class, I would do it in a heart beat. He is extremely conceited for a man whose knowledge is so limited in the subject matter he teaches. He wis completely unapproachable and thus I felt uncomfortable going to his office hours. I would never take a class with him again.

Great teacher. His class is really fun and you can tell he is really passionate about what he teaches. If you are confused at all definitely go to his office hours; he is always happy to help. It is not an easy A. but he is a fair grader.

Show up to the discussion days and participate. Even if you make some random nonsense up, he'll take it, and you're good for the day. Make it seem like you're trying, and he will have sympathy when it comes time to grade. Did minimal work the entire semester, failed the final and walked out with a B, it doesn't get better than that.

Walkling truly cares about his students. If he sees that you try really hard, he will take it into account and even go easy on your paper. PARTICIPATION IS KEY. If you don't participate, you will not get an A and if you don't come to class, you will not pass. that is guaranteed. He is very clear and explains what he wants. You just have to listen!

Prof. Walkling is a great professor. I highly recommend him to any of the art history students. He is clear, funny, & loves what he is doing. You will be inspired & really learn if you take his class, esp. if you take his class about the English Masque. It is his specialty. You will be surprised to find yourself talking about masques months later.

Walkling is so funny during class. He is very clear about everything he says. Always in his office. Literally from 8 AM to 6 PM. His office hours are not limited to just what he has on the syllabus. Takes effort and progress into account, so don't lose your cool if you blew an exam esp. the first one. Show him you care and he'll be great to you.

He is a very funny guy. He is a rather hard grader however. For areas that are supposed to be easy As, he gave Bs. That was a shock. But overall, helpful when you go see him. But takes forever to return papers. He offers choices on the exams, but he really doesn't because he always choose the hardest IDs and demand too much info. Fun class though
