I found that he is a one sided individual who only see's what he wants and does not want to hear others thoughts on subject. if you follow what he says and be a good yes man and play a horn you will pass, if you are from the rhythm section God be with you because you will want to throw a chair!

Best professor I've encountered thus far at CU. I've only had him for a semester and my playing and musicianship in general have improved tenfold. He is a fabulous teacher and individual.

Dr. N is awesome! The man truely cares about each student and works with the class as a team and not a dictator. He is doing a wonderful job for having a wife with cancer and 4 small children. I have not seen a man with a better attitude anywhere. Compared to my last band director, Dr. N is the best there ever could be.

I don't know how ppl could say this man is a horrible teacher. He has four small children and still is at Concord all day long, sometimes 6 days a week. He devotes all of his time and efforts into teaching.

It is a meeting of small minds when people can't look above the cloud of stupidity to see the truth. But must flock together like a herd of sheep, hearded by a group blind men who doesn't care, but accepts accepts the world for what a bad place it is. What a sad place for musical learning, it is.

Necessary is one of the best professors at Concord. He devotes all of his time and efforts to help his students. He cares about the knowledge they gain. Take every class you can from him if you are interested in becoming a musician.

After having taken more then two dozen classes from Dr. Necessary (including several private Jazz improv lessons) I feel I know him better then most. Any negative critiques are from certain prima donna marimba players who have issues being told they are wrong. Take any class you can from the man.
