Comment:

I enjoyed her class. You read the chapters and take notes, then discuss them in class. Her test are based on your notes and she gives you important info for the test. You will have current events every week and a group project which is fun. Attendance is mandatory and it does effect your grade!!

Good instructor. She gets to the core of the material. She is not a hand holder. The program is designed for the non traditional student if you expect a traditional classroom setting she is not the instuctor for you.

She is more interested in telling class about HERSELF than in teaching anything useful. Class is centered around SWOTS (which are not difficult) and same lesson is done for several weeks straight. Grade based on presentation - Make sure you get in a good group! (But these are people you don't know before you walk into class.... so good luck.)

The worst instructor that I have encountered at CMU. She did not "teach". The class learned from each other. The objective of the course was not taught and will therfore unfortunately not help me in the workplace. Very disappointing. Choose another instructor.

She is the absolute worst. I truly despise both her personality and teaching style. I have only encountered 2 horrible teachers at CMU and she is definitely one of them. She is ever so ignorant and has no real world experience. she says that she didn't like corporate america but honestly speaking I think she was barred from corporate america.

omg, one of the worst teachers at CMU and I have only encountered (2)really bad ones.This was supposed to be a management class and it felt more like performing arts.....the absolute worst. I definitely would not recommend.

Sarcastic to students trying to get a laugh for her comments. 2 tests that no one got an A on - situational problems, but multiple choice. 1 group paper & 1 long grp SKIT that was a waste. She does teach a bit, but the class mostly does it all. U have to outline all chapters & present to class w/your team. I ended up with an A but I dont rec. her!

Anita Gorham was an excellent instructor. She's personable, intelligent, and fun. Attend class regularly, do the assignments, put maximum effort into your presentation and you are sure to do well. I would definitely take her again if I had the chance. Unlike other posters I believe her expectations were clear and her assessments were fair.

Not a lot of depth or learning from her. She relies on class discussion and shares little if any wisdom. At times, I think she got more out of the class than the students did. She didn't like working in the corporate world, she likes teaching instead, however she doesn't appear to have much useful experience to share(teach). Books were useless

Ms. Gorham is a hands on, real world professor who genuinely cares about the welfare of her students. Opinionated, yes....but we all are. Highly suggest taking MGT 495 with her. The presentation and papers were good and you learn alot.

Excellent class! She is sometimes hard to take but once you get to know what she wants- she is easy to get along with. Likes to discuss current events and has required paper & presentation that is fun to do with your group. Don't ever forget your name plate she gives you! Know your SWOT's!

Good instructor & class. Very nice and yes, opinionated but knowledgable. Most of class time discussing current events which I found to be stimulating. Weekly outlines are very easy, mid term was a little confusing but ok, final presentations (group) were fun to watch. You can get an A if you read assignments, good attendance and turn in outlines.

Midterm is a joke, complicated story problems and poorly written. No one in my class got a 4.0, so don't expect to either, unless you can master the midterm. Lectures so-so. She is a nice woman, but a poor teacher. Final group skit can be fun if you put in the effort. I wouldn't take her again.
