Anne was great and definitely knows her field well. She is just very unclear with her assignments and you could do everything it says on the rubric, but she will think of something else you may have wanted to add which she will deduct you on. Unclear and a little unorganized, but a very nice woman.

Comment:

Barretta knows a lot about PR and public speaking. Her course is very organized and straightforward - 2 quizzes and 2 speeches (informative and persuasive). Reading is not required as the material is very simple and is basically common sense. Would definitely take her again, as she inspired and motivated her students to work hard and do well.

She's experienced in her field but isn't really clear on her assignments. It's like she just makes them up on the spot. She is very nice, and always let you out an hour early. You def. need the AP style book because she lives by it and do the work on time! She doesn't take lates. I get high B's on all my work, a few A's here and there.Take Her!

She is a very nice teacher but does not tell students exactly what she wants in papers and then deducts points for it. Her assignments are easy but she gives everyone in the class around the same grade. She doesn't like to give out As. One of my papers was read as an example of exactly how she wanted everyones to be like and i only got an 89.

At the beginning of this semester I thought Barretta's class was going to be really fun and easy, but I found out later that she picks favorites and gives them special treatment. If you don't like having to suck up to the teacher, avoid this class at all costs. She grades based on how much she likes you and will give her favorites special treatment

Have her for effective speaking. the book was very expensive and we hardly use it. 3 main speeches- demonstration, informational, and persuasive. a few quizzes but they are no big deal. very easy. helps you get over speech anxiety. take her even if you hate public speaking.

She is by far my favorite teacher! Classes are fun and discussions are interesting. The assignments are sometimes really helpful if you want to go into a creative industry. She isnt lenient about late assignments and will notice if you are absent, so do the work and show up!

Really nice, just do your work (it's easy) and come to class. Raise your hand during discussions and you're golden. She picks faves, but as long as you do those things you'll be fine (I was until I cut 3 classes for fun - bad idea). She grades pretty easy too and lovessssssss the sopranos. If she still liked me, I'd take her again.

Baretta rocks. She is such a cool and sweet lady. Her class was so interesting because most of the time you discuss pop culture. She directs most of the material at that but still gets the job done. The group project was the only difficult thing and it was still fairly easy. Take her she's great!

She's a really cool person. Class was enjoyable because of the interesting topics discussed in class. Quizzes were easy, midterm was easy, final was easy... she just expects a lot from the group presentations. So if you ace everything, but do average work on the project, don't expect a high grade.
