A very good teacher. Engaging, funny, makes you earn you grade, but helps you as you ask for it. Keeps tying the subject matter into our own time so that you always have an application/ active comparison to look at. Highly recommended!

It's true that Mr. Smith is one of the hardest teachers I ever had, but he just wants you to work for your grade and it is entirely possible to make an A if you do that. He is willing to help you in any way possible. He makes history interesting and relevant.

Yes this teacher is more difficult than most history teachers i have taken however you should ignore the rater that say he is useless and not clear. They are simply not willing to work for a grade. if you actually value education then this is your history teacher

If you want information spoon fed to you, don't take Art. If you are willing to be challenged and do the work, you will really appreciate him. It was the hardest class I ever took, but I still made a B. Read, take notes, ask questions and you will be O.K. Really makes history relevant

Excellent professor! Yes, he is rather difficult, but guess what people? You are not in HIGH SCHOOL anymore. I would highly reccommend this class to students at Greenville Tech who would actually like to learn something. I wish he taught more History classes so I could take him again!

It was really a challenge and overwhelming at times, but I learned the most I've ever learned about history in his class. Even now I remember things I learned then. As long as you're not a slacker, you should be alright. And don't be afraid of him, he's pretty cool.

I took western civ. last year and had art. he offered a good bit of help and wanted you to pass if you did your part. overall it was a pretty tough course, rigorous reading through the book, and a good bit of note taking. and the tests were seriously the hardest i have ever taken in my life. no joke. good guy, but VERY hard class.

Run like hell!! This guy is a joke. He will humiliate you for coming in late. Calls you out in class to anwer questions about history that you may not know. I withdrew out of fear of humiliation. Took William Wade and he was the BOMB! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOOD FOR YOU!

His class was very challenging, but not impossible. If you do your fare share of the work and pay attention to what he has to say in class, it is entirely possible to get a B in his class. That doesnt mean that it doesnt require alot of hard work, but he is a great teacher and i learned alot from his class. A in my book

His tests are extremely challenging and I did not do well, but that was mostly my fault. You really must follow his program "terms and concepts" and study hard and make alot of time available for study to pass this course. If you make an A in his class, that is a HUGE accomplishment.
