Comment:

I had a bad experience in calc one and was reluctant to take calc two. Barbara Harras reminded me why I loved math so much in the first place. She's smart, very helpful, and a great teacher. I was worried that there were no good math teachers at this school and she proved me wrong. If you want to pass AND learn, take her class! Absolutely amazing!

Comment:

Great teacher and very kind. I would not take her again though. U spend hours doing homework and assignment. You can do great on everything but it doesnt matter unless you get a 63% on the final exam. If you dont its an automatic fail in the class. I really liked her but she weighs your final grade on the final way to much. I dont recommend her

Don't take her class unless you are ok with doing lots of homework and have time for it!!! You have to do worksheets and other things every week, prepare to work hard if you take the class, good luck!!!

Honestly has become my favorite math teacher so far, and I've had 4. Also my favorite online math class and I had 1 other before this. Class discussions actually helped. One time my test locked early and she unlocked it for me to take on the weekend. She's super nice, easy to ask questions. I have no complaints about this class. I learned alot.

Comment:

Always willing to help students. A very reasonable person who will extend deadlines if there is a need to. Covers all of the material that you will need to know for tests and quizzes. If you need extra help with material outside of class, just ask her for help because she's very nice and understanding, but make sure to attend class.

Honestly, if you do the reading and stay on top of all the homework, this class is going to be easy. It is also extremely open to asking questions. Although the exam is proctored, there is a study guide let out beforehand and you can have a page of notes. There also really isn't that much homework, especially if you don't leave it all for one day.

I took Calculus III from Mrs. Harras and she was a good teacher. She talks and writes really fast so it can be difficult to keep up and as a result there are times where you are left confused by a topic but is willing to help if you don't understand. She also expects less from her students than other teachers so is slightly easier and less work.

Barbra Harris is the worst instructor I have had the displeasure of interacting with. Since I took an online class, I was assuming she would be helpful and communicate well. She failed miserably on both accounts. She is not clear in her instructions and does not do anything to help. She doesn't care if you fail or pass. Do not take her classes.

I took Calculus II and Calculus III with professor Harras,She is a great instructor. Although in her lectures she go over staff very fast, she is very helpful as long as you keep asking questions. She is kinda tough on grading, but for any homework or assignment, if you talk to her and ask her to extend the homework (for a good reason) she will.

Barbra Harras was extremely unhelpful and had obnoxious rules and assignments that had to be kept. If they were not kept you were deducted 0.2 off your grade. These rules and assignments had little to nothing to do with math. You could pull a 4.0 in math section, but if you didn't do the other requirements you only received a 3.8.

Excellent. Straight forward teaching style. Hard tests, even harder take home tests. Does problems extremely fast, but a great teacher. Covers concepts and material very well. Cant wait to have her again in math.

She was an easy teacher, but she made herself clear and communicated concepts. Some of the material is difficult, so STUDY. She plays favorites just a bit. So if you want good grades, show up and ask questions. I got the best math grade i have ever gotten in her class.

Though I haven't yet completed the quarter, Harras is great. She's like the mother goose of calculus. Last quarter I got a 1.8 in calc (Glaze). Her approach is so friendly and each class has a time period to ask questions pertaining to the homework. No questions are berated (unlike Glaze), even algebra ones! She is great.

go to class every day! fast pace but honestly people so is every math class, shes helpful in class not during office hours though, can come off mean but the class is very do-able. FINAL IS VERY IMPORTANT!! gives a little extra credit and sometimes, tests corrects for half credit, which helps a boat load

Harras is a great teacher,but very very very fast paced! You need to do the ALL the homework to get good scores on the tests! She's very helpful and there for questions if you have them. To, her, every math problem is "cute" and never forget that "life is not always an integer!" Good luck if you take her class!

She is a good teacher, but she moves way TOO FAST in the lecture. She does not give supplementary material to help you understand the subject. You must take good notes, but it is hard to take good notes because she moves VERY FAST through the material. She is a good teacher though.
