Comment:
The main problem is that he drowns you in homework towards the last half, but NEVER gives the answers. "Going over them in class" really means solving part A and scribbling out parts B and C, skipping the rest. Without the correct answers, how do I know if my strategies are correct? You go into exams not knowing if your technique is right or not.

The material is easy, his lectures might make it seem harder than it is. Look up lecture notes from other universities (MIT), practice, do the laboratories and youll have an easy time. You arent spoon fed but if you need to be at this point consider switching majors...

i would not take him again if i had the chance. his lecture is nonsense. he has circuits in the powerpoint and he just explains it in front of his computer. it is basically all you. He is willing to help. I really think he should do a better job on his lecture. I don't know.

Unlike many other courses, the design of this course doesn't shepherd you to learning the material -- it's all on you. In other words, you might easily ace tests just by having the right stuff to copy on your note sheet; however, you still won't truly understand electronics at all because the tests don't really force you to demonstrate knowledge.

Homeworks take about 4-5 hours if you aren't copying old solutions,1-2 hours if you're copying old solutions. He should call his homework 'take home quizzes' because it's graded for correctness. The average on the tests is usually really bad, so you're supposed to do well on the homework to curve your grade. If you don't do the homework, youll fail

I didn't have any bad experience with him as I had horrible experiences with some professors at CSUN. This professor seemed more reasonable than most and he treated me respectfully .

He's nice, helpful, funny, and friendly. Sometimes you feel like you're wasting your time going to class, but you actually do end up learning some stuff. The class wasn't what I expected it to be, but I don't regret taking it. He does thorough reviews before each test and lets you use cheat sheets.

Hard class, prepare to study. The exams are not that bad but the final is brutal. Build your grade up so you can take a hit on the final. Curves the final only. Picky grader.

Poor lecture delivery, does not follow the text book. Disorganized, vague . Most student use previous homework solutions to turn in homework assignment. After a full semester , you realize you did not learn much in comparison to what other learned from other professors at CSUN or online. repetitive in nature. Lazy.

Reviews are given the class session before each exam and covers the everything that you will see. Best professor in the Electrical Engineering Depart

Great professor, mostly uses power points in order to teach the class. He rarely gives tests and homework assignments.

He is actually one of the nice professors who will actually help us and has a passion for teaching and learning. He is one of the few good and kind professors in the ECE department. He is nice and helps out unlike other ECE professors like Osorno the a-whole. Very rare to find someone like him.

Good teacher, knows the material very well. Teaches from PowerPoint and sometimes moves quickly or glosses over important material. Be sure to review the slides. Reading the textbook will help. Occasionally, he will skip an equation or concept that is important. However, his homework solutions will help you fill in any gaps. Fair grader.

He has PowerPoints for lectures, but they're more of an outline. He goes more in-depth than them, and explains himself as thoroughly as possible. There's little reading to do, probably because it's just a 101 class; keep the book though. He says it'll come in handy for later. The midterms/tests are a little challenging, so take good notes and ask questions. He'll answer them. Take him for 101, and I guarantee you'll want him as your professor for the later ECE courses.

Explains very well and is willing to help. He is an extremely strict grader however and does not believe in partial credit. If you really want to learn and study take him. But if you are just going to slack off, you will have a hard time passing the class. MAKE SURE you do the hw and quizzes because they really help your grade in the end.
