Excellent teacher. Goes step by step and breaks it down into the simplest terms. Uses MyMathLab quite a bit. Very helpful and will do her best to help you. Would definitely recommend her.

This was not an online class but it might as well have been one. I don't know if it's her teaching or the ALEKS program but I hate this class it's not clear just a lot of random math doing every day if you work TUH don't take the class cause they expect you doing ALEKS work everyday for atleast 2 hours impossible and the assessments are a set up

She is a great teacher! She always ask the students if we have any questions, because she really wants us to understand the material. She uses MyMathLab. You just have to show up, pay attention, do your work on time, and you will do just fine. The people that complain are the ones that are lazy and doesn't want to do their work.

1st class I've EVER dropped & I have a 3.91 avg! She won't answer questions, only refers you to tutoring instead of doing her job & TEACHING, assigns 10 HOURS of mathlab hw each week & says so in her syllabus (I seriously thought she was JOKING), gives impossible tests with no review, & talks down to students. HOW DOES SHE HAVE SUCH A GOOD RATING?!

plz don't take her. Her class will screw up your GPA!! She'll treat u like HS student but will grade u like u should knw everything!! she's dependent on MY MATH LAB!! not helpful atall.. don't take her even if there's not a single teacher available for ur class!!

Class notes and mathlab homework do not pertain to her tests. She is very rude, and does not help you. She does not give out study guides fro her tests, nor does she give sample questions. I dont see how its fair to do all the homework online, then take a test written by her, that does not match any homework questions. 85% of the class is failing

Ms. Boyd is a great teacher, she is very slow and clear when teaching the material. If you study her notes, do the mathlab HW (online), and use all the resources at your disposal it is a guaranteed A+. Her test are multiple choice for the most part, which helps a lot as well.

Ms. Boyd is a wonderful math teacher. Yes, you have to listen and learn, but she is ready to help and is very clear about her directions. Her notes are so good you may find you don't need a notebook. I would take her again for another math course.

for math 1101, you will need to purchase mymathlab and a calculator. Thats it. Test are multiple choice so YOU DONT HAVE TO WRITE OR EXPLAIN ANYTHING. Everything is super easy why? because you are using a calculator. I got a straight A. Boring but easy grade trust me

She is a nice enough lady, but her tests are not on what you covered in class or studied. She gives you practice quizzes and even a review day before the test, and then the test is on other stuff that you did not study. Go figure??? I do not recommend this professor.

I already knew everything taught in the course, so I was pretty bored. But if I didn't already know it, she would have been a really good teacher. She goes slowly and makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. She is really nice and never made any student feel stupid for asking a question.

She has a very slow teaching style. She will literally break everything down barney style, but it sounds very repetitive. With that being said, if you are a slow leraner at math then i suggest her, if you can learn math quickly then don't give your self headaches by attending her classes, it will insult your intelligence!
