Comment:

I felt very negative in her class, towards her and her teaching. I couldn't even pay attention to her half of the time, because she's irritating if you aren't patient. She's not very good at staying on track. "Ms. Harrell's been here since 1978, then I retired..but now I came back." She said that EVERYDAY in our class. I don't have the patience.

I hardly even went to class and I got a B. She is sooo lenient, she gives every opportunity for you to make up work AND tests, she's sweet as hell. She doesn't count attendance. Students who are mean to her or make fun of her really suck. She repeats herself, but you have to be patient, she teaches you what needs to be taught.

Awesome!! Gives extra credit in both Intermediate and College Algebra classes. Gives two points just for attempting to do a math problem at the end of class and is applied toward your test grade. Made A's in both classes

Comment:

Avoid this teacher like the plague if you care about the material. Her lectures are impossible to follow. She exudes negativity. Somedays she couldn't even work the problems. I got an A in the class. With the extra credit it was easy, but struggling on my own to actually learn and understand the material made this the hardest class I've ever had.

Shes very helpful and very caring its all on the student. Math is self taught meaning there should be lots of study time outside of class, she gives you all the tools you need,its all on the student.Shes always willing to help any student who takes the initiative. Shes agreat teacher in my opinion.

Harrell is not a bad teacher. If you pay attention, it's pretty easy. Just make sure you know how to do the homework (she'll explain it if you just ask--though this shouldn't be a problem since she teaches like she's teaching to high school freshmen); and turn the homework in on time.

she is very old and doesnt seem like she is all there....she grade the homework like there tests..her test are multiple choice, but dont be decieved, it for the worse...and the doesnt give partial credit on the tests...it all or non...ex: I put 38.056 and the answer was 38.057, it was counted wrong!

Mrs. Harrell is good teacher. Her teaching style consists of working problems on the overhead and learning as you go. Might take some getting used to. Test are multiple choice which makes it seem like cake. Whole lotta extra credit.Easy A to startoff CALC

Mrs. Harrell did not explain anything to you. You could teach yourself right from the text better then she taught. I would not recommend her class to anyone who really needs help learning math because it is a self taught course when you take it with her
