Ignores emails, didn't show up for half the semester and handed our class over to a graduate student who had never graded before. He is arrogant and unclear about every assignment. Do NOT recommend

Comment:
Sean was shockingly arrogant in class and his pomposity was remarkable - he constantly cited himself and aggressively argued with students who disagreed with him. He also refused to assign anything but letter grades throughout the semester, then assigned the lowest possible mark for your letter average as your grade for the course. Not recommended.

Comment:
He seems knowledgable on the topics but it is unclear what you should and should not take note of; he rambles a lot and is not the most clear at times. Forces students to use D2L receive paper topics and to hand them in (giving you ~12 hours to complete them). Don't attempt to email him because he will ignore your emails. Do not recommend.

Comment:
Though he is bright and creative, this man is a rasist, ethnocentric, provincially-minded person. Speak world literature -- no idea. Speak certain scientists -- no idea. Speak anything other than European, Christian-hampered thinking and he'll find a very clever retort to it. He indoctrinates students -- he doesn't teach them. Avoid if docile.

He is absolutely knowledgeable and truly a philosopher. He is a very good listener and an amazing guide. I've never had a better teacher than him. Don't be afraid of his frankness and try to learn from him as much as you can.

The man is a wonderful lecturer and I anticipate going to his classes. He has a clear understanding of his field and he is enthusiastic in his presentation of the material. He encourages class participation and is a fair marker.

I have never known Dr. McGrath to be anything besides a gentleman and a scholar. He is a brilliant philosopher in his own right and a kind, caring instructor. I can't say enough good things about him.

Great professor! Very clear and concise in lectures. Sometimes seems stuck in his beliefs, however, which is a shame for a Philosophy class.
