I took Burns for making connections. It is suppose to be an easy class but is most definitely not. His grading is unclear and you will have a lot of homework assignment that he will grade hard

I have this man for Gen Chem 1 right now and i have to say that I really enjoy his class. He really knows what he's talking about and tries to stop and explain a concept in its fullest for anyone in class. He also prefers people to speak up with questions or he'll just assume everyone knows what he's talking about, easy homework every week

Dr. Burns is a very helpful professor who is more than willing to help you but you have to ask or he will assume everyone understands. I studied really hard for his class and pulled an A. If you have the time to put into this class you will learn a lot. I would really recommend this class for all chem or bio majors!

His class is organized very good. I learned a ton in this class but had to study a lot. I was afraid to take this class at first. Im glad I took him and wish I could take him for all my chemistry classes.

Burns is good. He will go out of his way to help you. I wouldn't expect an EASY A but he does make it possible. I had no knowledge of chem proir to this class(high school, I literally leaned nothing) I learned a lot in the class, but I did try to learn also.

If you had chemistry in high school, this class will be pretty easy, but if you didn't you will have to work a harder. He gave homework about once a week and about 4 tests over the semester. Just a warning: the tests cover a lot of material in one test. The lectures were pretty boring, but easy to understand. Pretty painless chemistry class.

He is very helpful!!! All you have to do is go and see him in his office if you dont understand. If you arent willing to put extra time into his class then you cant expect just breeze through. His class is a bit challenging but not a killer. dont let the other inputs scare you. he is a great guy! only thing is that he can curse w/ the best of 'em..

Ungodly difficult class. Quiz every week and you better be ready to work. Not afraid to give an F. Had to sit through 2 semesters with him, passed the second time. Don't take it at 8 because you will go to sleep. He's not helpful and not likely he could care less about his students.

He didn't try to understand how hard the class was for us. 2-3 homework assignments due a week. I didn't seem to care if we learned or not.

Hard class - don't take it expecting to be able to slack off. No curve and rarely any bonus. Cool person - not so cool teacher. Expects students to be as crazy about chemistry as he is. Be prepared to study like a maniac if you have to take this class and expect an A or B.
