Great man, great professor, very approachable, friendly... The work itself is not hard, but it's definitely time-consuming if you happen to be a perfectionist. In this class hard work pays off.

Comment:

One of the easiest teacher to talk to ever. He makes learning and creating fun whether it be sculpture, ceramics, or whatever. He takes a genuine interest in his students even once they are out of his class. Great as an advisor as well. Some projects are intentionally unclear as to prepare you for upper level work. Take him as much as possible.

Pretty easy grader, as long as you try. Very vague about projects, but helpful one you get started. Spends lots of time on how to use the materials for each project. I'd like it if he were less vague on projects or made it more clear that they were supposed to be open-ended, but besides that a wonderful teacher.

Best teacher at Furman. Loves his profession, extremely skilled, overly helpful and dedicated. Kind and gentle mannered and highly intelligent. Allows students to fall in love with art. Take this class, Professor Chance is the best teacher I have ever had.
