Marked attendance as not mandatory, but if you skip class you'll miss a lot. Exams are all written for Invertebrate Zoology, but he's fair with grading. Gives tons of partial credit. You have to work for your grade. You can't bs your way through this class. Don't slack off on your collection. One of my favorite classes I've ever taken. A true hero.

Dr. Cook is amazing! I don't really like science, but he made zoology fun and interesting! Do not get the textbook, he puts all the PowerPoints online. You are graded on 3-4 tests, which you can do really well on if you study. Also, he gives 5 points on each test if you show him a study guide before the exam. I made an A.

Dr. Cook is an all around great person and great professor. He is easily the person that I respect most in the Biology department, and probably at the entire university. His lectures are very clear, even if the material gets dense. Granted, he teaches biology courses, which you inevitably have to study some for. I made a B since I didn't study.

Dr. Cook is an amazing instructor. He teaches in a clear and concise manner and is always willing to help you understand something you have questions about. You really have to study, as his tests can be pretty hard. . He's one of the nicest professors I've had. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to take another class with him.

Dr. Cook is an exceptional professor who truly cares for his students. His knowledge of zoology is amazing, and he is always happy to explain the material. He breaks up lectures with anecdotal stories that help you remember the content. I took his honors section, and the tests were challenging but in a good way (had an A for the class.) Love him!

Dr. Cook is a great professor. It's not easy to make zoology interesting, but he really tries. He loves what he teaches, and it makes a difference. It gets a little boring sometimes, but his tests are multiple choice and straight forward, It was an easy A with a decent amount of studying.

Every now and then the material gets a little boring, but he has a lot of interesting stories to go along with the lectures, most are hilarious. The first test was hard, it's a lot of material, but all his tests are pretty straightforward. He let us create a study guide for 5 bonus points on each test, and is dropping our lowest test grade.

I am not an animal person at all, but because of him, Gen. Zoo. has been by far the most interesting class I have taken in college. He is a phenomenal professor. He has a very fair grading system, is a great and funny guy, and every class is engaging and fascinating. I've thought about taking an upper level class with him for fun.

This is a class on how to be a college student. I was required to take this class as a transfer student, and eventhough I didn't feel like I need the class, it was an easy A. He is a cool guy and very laid back. He did present some good tools for job scouting. Show up, do the assignments, and you get an A. Your retarded if that is hard.

Nicest guy I've ever met! Seems loud and mean at first, but he's friendly and funny. Homework every week, easy stuff like writing why you chose biology. Teaches useful things that a freshman needs to know. Be very polite and respectful, smile alot, and say yes sir, and you'll be one of his favorites.

His tests were very hard for me bc of the amount of material on them. but they are all straight from the notes, and it is all memorization, not application. so if you are good at memorizing, it should be fairly easy. oh, and he will adjust the lab grades,in your favor. and he gives extra credit. i made 80s on all of my exams, and i still got an A
