Professor Hines is great! She is one of the best English professors I have taken. The assignments that were given were really useful. I developed as a writer, and the required reading articles were rather interesting. She can be slightly tough with grading BUT go to her for office hours and she will help you out tremendously.

My class despised this lady. She gave me a C in the class when I had earned an 87 after the final grade. If you miss 3 classes your grade goes down a level. If you want to go to a day-care facility and need to be walked through the class, take her. Otherwise, dont bother.

Professor Hines is a very sweet woman who wants you to succeed. I found the class to be very interesting and quite fun at times. The class discussions were great. The assignments are pretty easy, although the last assignment was killer because of the annotated bib.

Professor Hines is a very sweet lady. The pace of the assignments seemed very rapid-fire, so she keeps you on your toes. Something due EVERY week. But she is very helpful, lets you write on interesting topics, and has more group activities/discussions than lectures. I loved the class! I would take her again.

VERY BORING! but she is nice. LOTS of work but not hard. She lets you email her your papers before you turn them in for suggestions or correction. Also brought her planner to class so students could schedule appt. with her. I thought that was nice, never seen another teacher do it. Final was take home and a bunch of essays, Take her!

She is very nice and can be very flexible. I liked the fact that she would help you whenever you need it. She offers her office hours and can give you great insight to your writing. The semester I had her we did 4 essays, and a final essay for the final. Not hard to do.

she is th best english teacher I have ever had! She is so helpful! She has made me to become a very strong writer! She goes over each essay with you, and she is always willing to set up meetings with you. She's also really fun, and again shes so helpful!

Comment:

Hines is an excellent teacher and is very helpful when you write your papers. She will give feedback and suggestions before you turn in your essays to help you get a better grade. Most classes are just discussions on essays and readings. This is a pretty easy class with only a few essays to complete. I definitely recommend this teacher.
