Great guy and awesome professor. He cares about your grade. He checks attendance and has routine online quizzes. Just read the book study in your own time and sit back and let his lectures reinforce your knowledge, I never wrote anything down, I prefer making quizlets He doesnt cold call on you. Exams are easy if you study. All he does is lecture.

The class directly lines up with the study app which makes it easy to understand and he's very passionate so its a good class. However, he wrote his own textbook and then made us pay for it and we never even used it which I think is wrong. Also, DO NOT ask for extra credit or grade rounding even if you have an 89.9 because he will talk down to u

oceans and coasts was a fun non-lab science. hes a really cool prof and hes really easy to work with if you missed anything. he wrote his textbook, so its exactly like lecture, and if you study the way he advises you to, you will for sure get an A. hes a cool guy and its just worth the credit b/c its not boring and hes just really easy to work with

He knows his stuff and is passionate about it, but if you do not share the same passion he will make you feel dumb and belittled. I've had him over the years and he has seemed to turn to only care about himself, which sucks honestly. We did a group project here just so he could be put on the researchers list. Didn't learn a thing about the course.

Dr. Z really enjoys what he is teaching and knows what he is talking about. However, he is not approachable in or outside of class. When you ask him questions he makes it seem as if you are beneath him and/or incompetent. His tests are very hard, and he seems to not care if you pass or fail. If you decide to take this class I suggest a tutor!!

dr z is AMAZING!!!! his lectures are very clear and straight from the textbook and he is very good at explaining. theres a small open note quiz once a week but they're not hard. he is the best professor I've had so far and i will definitely try to have other classes with him.

Great professor- very passionate about Geology. Test heavy and the tests are difficult and long. Be prepared to read the book because not everything on the tests are from the lectures, but the book was written by him so it is very cohesive to what he teaches in class. Pop quizzes. Allows extra credit. Not too much homework.

Loves what he teaches, and he made me love it too. Tons of easy grades available such as online quizzes and video assignments, but take good notes and bring the textbook to class to be ready for open note pop quizzes. Test questions come directly from lecture material and quizzes, so study them. Also provides a nice test review sheet.

Dr. Z is a great Prof. If you don't do well in his class you probably: 1. skipped class and missed in class quizzes or online quizzes (your fault), 2. didn't pay attention, 3. are probably just an idiot because there is plenty of bonus work to make up for missed assignments. He is very energetic and takes pride in what he teaches.

You basically have to teach yourself in this class. The tests are on extremely specific definitions that come from the book, but he doesn't teach you them in class. All he does in class is show slideshows of pictures, not actual material. If you don't read and study directly from the book, you won't pass. Also, its very boring material.

Dr. Z is a great professor. I really learned a lot in his class. I would recommend taking his class to any student. Attendance is not mandatory but if you show up to every class and take good notes it will make taking his exams a lot easier. The assigned quizzes for each week were fairly easy. To pass his exams you really do need to STUDY.

I hate science as I am a business major but he made this class so easy. If you show up to class and take notes all in person quizzes, almost 1 a week, are easy as they are open notes. He gives bonus points for some assignments. Funny guy as well.

Whatever class it may be take it. Any semester I have Dr. Z as a professor its my favorite class to go to. His energy makes class fun. His knowledge on geological processes is unfathomable . I will warn you that his exams are the hardest exams I have ever taken, but it's only because he's a great teacher and he wants you to learn. Amazing professor

Dr. z is pretty cool. The class was very interesting he just made the tests very hard. If I studied harder I probably would have got the grade I desired. He gives random pop quizzes and curves most tests. But if you don't show up when he hands them back, you won't get the curve.

Dr. Zaprowski is one of the greatest teachers I have encountered at SU. His knowledge is above and beyond any expectations. He doesnt bore you bumt he does enlighten you. If you have any chance in taking one of his classes I would highly recommend it.

Dr. Z is a great teacher! He enjoys teaching students and is always prepared when it comes to lectures. Also, he gives his students very detailed study guides for his 3 lecture exams and 2 lab exams. Highly recommends to others.

Dr. Z's class isn't bad. The way to pass is to always go to lecture (even though its boring), pay attention, and take good notes because all the test answers come from lecture. Don't forget the online quizzes all the answers come from the practice questions. You don't need to read the book and the test are easy and straightforward.

Comment:

Dr. Z is awesome. I love his sense of humor and how he integrates it into the lectures. He's always available for questions and clearly enjoys all things geography related as much as he seems to enjoy teaching it. Highly recommend him for any incoming freshmen needing a lab science or anyone who has a genuine interest in geography!
