I may not like his teaching style, but if you complain about this class having too much work, that is just absurd. 3 exams essay style. Top in class exempt from final. All you have to do is study the key concepts and you'll do great. One paper on top of that, 3 DOUBLE spaced pages, and you're good to go. He just can't see or hear but get over it

This man is too intelligent for his own good. Attendance is mandatory and no homework. 3 exams, if you do well on the first two you are exempt from the 3rd one which is the final. He is very old, so he lectures throughout the class, old school teaching. Does not hear or see well, but speaks loud and clear. Exams are essay format and hard.

Probably one of the best professors in St. John's. He actually teaches you things you need to learn as a Finance major. Just take notes and study all your notes because they will be on the exams.

He teaches a seminar in finance. He gives you stuff you should know after 4 years of college. There is nothing hard about this class. Dr. Lees gives readings, that are actually very useful if you're a finance major. Read them, attend class to understand them and you'll be just fine. He's not mean or terrible. Tests are not hard, they're class based

Extremely difficult teacher, nothing else can be said. Does not give an insane amount of homework but tests are ridiculously hard. He expects you to know Finance like an expert and teaches you like one. Unclear study instructions and then bombs you with graduate level essay questions, FOUR of them in a single test in an ONE hour time frame...AVOID

Good prof-- learned a lot, got an A -->exempt from the final (5 people were). All you need to do if you want to do well is 1. take notes on everything he says and 2. study them. It can't get much simpler than that. He pretty much tells you what he is going to test you on before the test. People that don't do well either don't listen or are lazy.

Alright. After reading a few of the comments listed for this professor, you may be quick to pass this guy off as a bad professor. You're wrong. This guy is FAR FAR FAR worse than what you're thinking. To be honest, I'd only recommend him to people who can teach themselves the material or to masochists. Or to people I hate. It's that bad.

horrible professor. worst in St. John's. Should not be teaching finance major class and waste student's time and money. its a waste to attend his class. piles up assigments are followed with enormous and boring reading. esaay type questions. i really freaked out for preparing for exams. not recommended at all. plz plz avoid him

This is a horrible class. He assigns a mountain of reading each week; then, each class he goes over it. No guidance for exams, he states "know all the reading, generally but specifically." Whatever that means. Goodluck. Avoid this class if you can, however, he's the only one teaching it at the Graduate level.

Nice guy, but he literally sits in front of the class and simply lectures straight out of the book. You don't get feedback on the homework (just a check that you did it) and when he does examples,: they are hard to read. I GOT AN "A", but I do not recommend him.

he is a very good professor. Gives study guides for the test,and those are the same questions on test. Wish if i can take him again.......got a 14 on first test, and 100 on final, got an AAAA for the class.....he takes attendance....study hard, read text, take good notes=A.
