Dr. Gastle is by far my favorite English professor on this campus. I always loved coming to class to see what new thing we would be talking about that day. He knew how to take medieval writings and make it fun and easy to understand. There are reading quizzes for each reading you do, but as long as you read the story, you'll pass them. Amazing dude

Dr. Gastle is funny, and his lectures are really fun. There is a lot of reading, but most of it is relatively interesting and fun. He is not judgemental, so no one has to feel uncomfortable about asking him questions. I really liked his class.

Gastle's class was the most amazing class I have had while attending WCU! He not only is passionate about the readings, but he also brings out a passion in his students! The readings were entertaining and the discussions about them brought out a high energy for an 8 am class! Gastle uses some small quizzes but those are the answers to his Final!

I would take this class again and again. He is excited for every class period, gives you a whole new perspective on the Middle Ages. Only requirements for passing: Read what you're supposed to. Quiz at the beginning of every class period, but they're easy (plot based questions). Rest of class is lecture. Just pay attention and you should be fine.

Great teacher, always in a good mood. Makes you think criticality but presents material in a fun way. Read the stories and you will do fine. Always helpful, always funny, always cares about what you have to say even if you're not right. Favorite Prof. This semester. Wish I could take him again.

SWEET sweet guy :) VERY forgiving and helpful, always happy to be in class. He was so funny and down-to-earth. One of my absolute favorite professors. I hope to take another class of his. The class isn't super easy or anything, but he paces things very well and is always willing to help. Makes class very interesting and engaging :)

Gastle is awesome because he is very understanding to his students. He also is willing to help you with your assignments. He is a very strict grader. However, if you work hard in the class you will do fine. Ask questions and participate in class and he will certainly appreciate your diligence.

He is very enthusiastic about the subject and makes the class fun and exciting. Required a quiz everyday on the reading and exams are hard. Harsh grader on exams and papers. Has confusing guidelines and no study guides. Uses the board for notes but his hand writing is unreadable. The only thing I passed in his class was attendance.

Excellent teacher. He is excited about his subject and doesn't talk in too much computer jargon. I didn't know anything about computers when I came in, but web design is my favorite class. This class is loads of fun! I would take him again any chance I got.

Gastle is AWESOME!!! HE is funny, smart and I miss his long hair!!! He is so helpful in my senior seminar class. IT is great to have someone tell you like it is regards to graduate school and the job world. Take his chaucer class. I do not get to take it and am sad not to. Take him!!! He is great!!!
