Comment:
Lots to learn, but the online practice is useful. Would be very hard for those who struggle with math. Two tries per quiz. Saunders's responses to online communications are helpful and he provides extra resources to practice. Deadlines are firm, which are known to be most effective for learning. I appreciate Saunder's contribution to the course.

The classes is difficult because of the material not the professor. Reading the chapters will help on exams SO much. He assigns lots of hw, each chapter has a quiz that can be taken twice. 4 Exams total. Just do the hw, read, and you will do just fine.

Lectures all class, every class. He goes on about random things that are irrelevant to the course work and a lot of students get confused. Lectures are hard to understand and follow. If you want to do well on quizzes or tests you have to just read the whole textbook. Definitely would not recommend.

Took him for Spring 2016 Money and Banking. Lecture heavy class, lots of Finance involved. Pay attention and you'll pass.

Took him Fall 2015. Show up to class, take good notes. Tests were multiple choice. Lectures were kind of boring.

DRSaunders is very smart and has good intentions for his class BUT: He does not understand how to hold his class' attention. While giving lecture he stays in the same place and rarely makes eye contact with his students. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF: you are a visual learner/have a hard time learning from textbooks. In general I would not recomend him

Most boring professor ever. If you go to class you wont learn anything because you will space out but if you don't go you'll fail unless you read the entire book. Tests are all multiple choice but are tough.

Dr. Saunders lectures almost the whole class and likes for students to get involved. For the students who say they struggled in the class usually skipped and did not see him after class to get help. I was a student that went over the problems I got wrong on the study guide after class. He is very interested in helping students understand.

If you read the textbook it's basically word for word what he says in his lectures, not anything useful or helpful. I didn't learn anything through his teaching but through the book, youtube videos, and my classmates. His study guides are like the only helpful thing he does. Be prepared to work very hard for your grade.

Well, he means well, but I get so sleepy in his class. He grades on a curve to help, drops lowest exam and quiz, and offers extra credit quizzes near the end in order to help the students. However, he's confusing and you end up teaching yourself through the textbook. At least you get a break in the middle of class though.

I can barely understand what he says. He confuses the students even more during test review and your grade is based on only test and quiz scores. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM.

Most difficult teacher I've ever taken. Other professors laugh at how rediculous of a teacher he is. He does not teach or explain ANYTHING he reads off the power points and goes off topic 98% of the time and is extremely confusing. Plan on teaching yourself everything.

Tests are hard. He's hard to understand at times and I caught my self drifting off in his class because of boredom. Drops the lowest exam and quiz score which boosts your grade up. Not the best, but not the worst teacher I've had.

I did extremely well in ECON 201 and then I took 202 with Saunders and it is to difficult to follow along. He doesn't provide a study guide and does't make up any material himself. You basically pay an exorbitant amount for a textbook as you weigh in the cost of the class plus the text book.

Drops lowest quiz and exam score. 4 exams, 2 quizzes. He's sometimes hard to understand, I basically taught myself through the book and MyEconLab. Lots of reading and taking notes to actually understand the material. You have to put in some work to understand what's going on, but that goes for everything in life.

I have to laugh at these reviews. If you are a good student, things like his accent should be a factor in your outcome. You get the grade you deserve. I seemed to be able to get a good grade despite all of these petty complaints from other students.

He is excellent at giving real world examples, but I did not feel like he was good at explaining. The tests are very hard, and even when I studied many hours, I got an okay grade. Honestly, I learned more from the textbook than from his lectures. Because the overall grade only depended on quizzes and tests, many grades suffered. :(

I can't believe i paid to take his class. You basically teach yourself everything and then go to class hoping that he will make sense...btw...it never happens. If you can, avoid taking his class
