Class was very project oriented. When he did lecture I would sometimes get lost with his points and didn't always understand the point of the lecture. Only 2 tests- a midterm & a final. For both, he posted a study guide online. Little tough of a grader, but if you go to class, do all your assignments, and study for the tests you'll do fine.

Took the blended course. Only met once a week. Tests were online. Any quizzes were online. Make sure you read the book bc you can google a lot of test questions but there are also many you can't google. Nice guy. Lectures were kinda pointless but there are random in class projects for grades. Not a lot of grades to go in so don't miss an assignment

I took this class half online and half in class, so all of his lectures were recorded online and in class we did activities or watched videos or he lectured. His voice makes you want to sleep, but he is a very nice man and the class is an easy A.

There was hardly any work so if you did not do well on the tests (which were extremely specific and had multiple answers, although he only wants one of the answers) your grade will plummet and stay low. Shows videos that do not really connect to the lecture material. His lectures were powerpoints with a voiceover on moodle. Quite disappointing.

Very hard to focus in his class, especially at 8 in the morning. His voice is so monotone and its hard to stay awake. I studied for all the tests and still didn't do that great. I wouldn't recommend.

Great professor! I really enjoyed his class, and he has helped me decide on a major! Mostly just pay attention in class and you shouldn't have any problems passing. He gives a study guide with the exam questions on it before the exam and it's taken online.

I took online class, it did not gotta a lot homework, but the test are hard. First your time would not be enough, and he like to test some detail, which is hard to find. Overall, he is nice, and reply fast, easy to pass, but hard to get a A. I will not choose his class again.

Dr. Mims isn't a fantastic teacher and almost resembles an older, larger, creepier Mr. Rogers(But not necessarily one you would want to be your neighbor). His grading is a breeze and if you miss class once in a while you'll be alright, but there are in class assignments you can't make up. Read the textbook and pay attention and the tests are simple

He is a total sweetheart, and funny if you pay attention to what he is saying. He doesn't hand out A's, but if you pay attention and do the work, you'll do just fine. I have taken about 5 classes with him.

Encouraged students to participate in radio, and when I showed interest with a few ideas I was immediately shut down. His tests are online, so they are easy, his class you can pretty much come and go. If you are eager to work in Radio, and are creative avoid his class. He wouldnt accept ideas, and seemed very closed minded.

OMG! Dr. Mims is AWESOME! The class that I was in had so many ppl in my class that he had to split are class in two section so I came to class like 2-3 times a mo. All tests are online and on some you can take mult. times to get the desired grade you want; it was AWESOME!

He was so helpful. His class is challenging, but you will learn. He loves to answer your questions with questions, it can get frustrating but work through it because you will learn. Make sure you take notes, come to class, and read your text book!
