Very likable and absolutely hilarious. shes not the best at getting the material in students head, online homework isnt very helpful, dont do helpful problems in class, and it can be hard to follow what shes doing on the board. But calc lab helps bring it all together. Shes very generous with the curve at the end. Id take her coarse again.

Holy heck. This class was hands-down one of the worst I've ever taken. She was unorganized, incomprehensible, and put the blame on us for not understanding the concepts that she could barely teach. Midterm was 7 questions, 100 points, 40% of grade with no curve... class average was a 66%. Not worth it at all. Find the PDF textbook online, too.

Basically, don't take her if you want to pass. If you are born smart then you can take her but for me, as a student who needs explanation, I can learn nothing in the class because she is unorganized and I feel like she rushed things up.

This class is the basics and fairly simple. The professor is very laid back and does her best to ensure that the whole class does well on the exams. She is very helpful after hours. Her exams are basically the homework questions re-hashed. The girl next to me snored through every class and Prof. did nothing. It was quite amuzing.

She wasn't that hard. She doesn't take attendance or check homework...the only grades are two midterms and a final. She is not a bad professor- calculus is hard, so it's not really her fault if you don't get it. She always answered my questions when I approached her. If you do your homework you should get a decent grade.

She is not a very good teacher. Does the fact that The average grade on the final was a 46% say anything to you? She goes through examples quick and if she is being picked up after class (night class) dont expect to have your questions asnswered. She does alot a lot of time to review homework! so take advantage because the weekly quizes are on h/w.

She isn't the best Calc prof out there, but not the worst. Makes a lot of mistakes on the board, but if you are awake during half of the classes, and skim the book, you can pass the class easily. She is willing to help and work with you if you are strugglin.

She's not as bad as people say-- granted she is not the best math professor on eart, but it's hard to come along a good math teacher these days anyways. She is willing to help you if you don't understand. Attendence not mandatory, tests easy if you get it, puts on a nice curve. She is extremely friendly. As long as you are attentive, you'll be ok.

her notes are extremely fast and confusing she thinks the tallest basketball player in 11 feet tall, tests are hard, have to do alot of learning on your own. i had to go to my math tutor every week not to fall behind and to make some sense out of what she was trying to teach

she is a pretty good teacher. she is usually eager to explain things and help her students out. i feel like she cares about us. the only thing is that she often makes mistakes when doing problems on the board, so you have to keep an eye out for that

She is not as bad as these comments say. I am a psych major and was able to pull a B in this class...and I rarely went to class. But definitely do the practice problems and go to the two classes before an exam. She was pretty helpful in wanting her students to succeed too.

She is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Not only does she not know what she's talking about, she doesn't explain the material well. When you ask her questions, she doesn't know how to answer them. How the hell did this woman get a math degree?? The class isn't too hard, but this teacher seriously sucks

I am totally convinced that this teacher is dislexic. Every single time she writes anything on the board she always writes the problem wrong. Now I will say the class is easy, I didn't buy the book and I still got a B" in the class. But that just means you really have to teach yourself.She will answer questions if you need help. But overall a "C+

There were times when she made me feel like I was mentally disabled. When I showed up and stayed awake in class, she would make mistakes while giving examples on the board. All you need in this class is the text book and you'll do fine. But there is class work at the end of each class. But at the end of the quarted she lets you make it up.

Comment:

Dr.Cohen is a great professor. She cares about her students and trys to make calculus as painless as possible. If you study and do the homework you'll get an A/B+. If not, but you understand your algebra, you'll get at least a B.
