Cam is great! She VERY CLEARLY tells you how she wants things written. The class is immensely easy. She does not make attendance mandatory, however, be warned: people who skipped class did not receive any of the material on how to write their papers, and failed miserably. Show up! Such an easy class to get a good grade in. Strongly recommend her!

I had her for Eng102 and I am glad that I decided to take her again for literature and film. Her lectures are always entertaining and she never judges your viewpoints on an analysis or make you feel stupid like a lot of teachers do. She has a personality like no other professor I have had. I definitely recommend.

She is a truly wonderful professor with so much to share with her students. The engaging conversations and critical thinking applied to my favorite books and movies was so refreshing and fun for me. She is a wonderful person and is a complete delight to engage with during class. She left a lasting impression on me and I learned a lot.

Cam is amazing. I recommend her to everyone. You do not have to show up to every class, the inforation is all online. For the essays, the day it is due there are optional conferences in class, you have to read your paper aloud, infront of the class and she will grade your paper, then you go home and submit an already graded paper. PRETTY AWESOME!

Dr. MacElvee is great. in 102 you write 4 papers and with so much extra credit you can fail the papers and still pass the class. She Is the hardest grader ive seen on papers but the extra credit makes up for that

Trying to teach a room full of bored 19 year olds critical thinking skills, she's obviously got her work cut out for her. She tries to make the class interesting and enjoyable. I felt that she made assignments too easy. Her commendable desire to see her students succeed has led her to pull her punches academically. Easy class, maybe too easy.

I took ENG102 twice before entering this class. I had to drop the previous classes because the teachers were horrible and I hate English. MacElvee was outstanding at telling us EXACTLY what she wanted for each assignment. I just wanted to skate by with a "C" so I could get my English classes over with but ended up with an "A." Easy grader on essays

Ms. MacElvee is AMAZING. For the 1st 12 of the semester, it is important to show up and take notes; but for the 2nd 12, I showed up to class twice just to review for the final (which I take tomorrow, & will pass her class with an A even is i get a 60% on final). The essays are extremely easy, and there's only three for the entire semester.

Professor MacElvee is easily my favorite professor of any campus. She's incredibly sociable, friendly, and will talk to you about anything, even in the middle of class. Each topic discussed was fascinating opened my eyes to a new way to look at books and movies. Professor MacElvee also takes pride in using entirely new topics in each semester.

Super easy and fun class, I'm not really into the literature classes but this one was awesome. She has a reading quiz every week on the book that's super easy if you read it, plus there is a ton of extra credit.

Be prepared to learn & work. She will tell you everything you need to know to succeed in her class. do not miss class/take excellent notes. if it is on the board it will most likely be on the final. Not an easy A or even B but worth every second of pain. If you are ready your will learn the bigger lessons she is teaching. Thanks for the headphones.

If you want to learn and have fun. Take your English 101 & 102 class with this woman. She makes the class entertaining and gets you involved. Writing the papers suck but she helps through every step of the way, fair grader and great teacher. She knows what she is talking about!
