I LOVED this winter class! He makes you work for your grade but really cares about his students and is always willing to help you succeed. He made a 7am class very fun and entertaining, I actually enjoyed going. You will learn so much. Extremely clear grading criteria, NO unnecessary homework (only writing the 3 speeches) and the final is OPTIONAL!

Hands down best person to take this class with. He is so caring and wants all his students to do well. He prepares you for speeches and gives you confidence to go up.

Comment:

Just finished the Winter class with an A. He is very engaging and encouraging and supportive. He is available to talk with you before and after class. I really liked that he gives you sample speeches to follow. If you just do the work which is not a lot and do it on time getting a B or an A is no problem. Also, there is lots of extra credit.

Mr. Cal has Great enthusiam in the class. He really knows what he is talking about and he really wants you to understand and get a good grade. The fact that he gives you sample speeches from past students to help you is a big help. Take his speech class.

I agree -- Prof. Cal really wants EVERYONE to get the A. His handouts (no book) are straight forward and the grading criteria for ever assignment is very plain. He also give you sample speeches to follow. Plus, he loves vinyl records. The final is OPTIONAL and he give lots of extra credit. Take his class.

Prof. Liedtke is by far the best speech prof you can ask for. He gives out extra credit work and when you dress professionally during your speech. His grading criteria is by points. He is a cheerful yet kindly strict. Just as long as you participate and follow his instructions, you'll definitely pass with an easy A.

Comment:

Cal is a great choice for Speech. He makes the first 2 speeches easy to warm you up for the 3 mandatory ones. Extra credit each speech for dressing nicely. Be sure to follow the format he requires for your written speech, because the bulk of the grade for each speech. Final's not necessary or graded harshly. No book. Just notes and a few handouts.

Among the best professors I have had. Do not stress out about public speaking. Very clear assignments and he includes sample speeches to help you. Lots of extra credit and he wants you to succeed. Very relaxed class. Highly recommended!

Cal is the biggest cheerleader for your success in a class that can be very nerve racking. Ask questions in class or strike up a conversation with him before class. He will help you through it. He collects vinyl records which I think is awesome.

Class was an easy A because he gives out sample speeches and the assignments are very clear. Grading was very up front -- no guessing at the end of the semester. The final exam was optional. So do the extra credit.

Prof. Lidkey is an awesome teacher. He knows what he's talking about and he does his best to get students interested in the subject. He tells you what you need to work on and lets you know exactly what he's looking for.
