Excellent, and understanding professor. Easy to speak too, and a reliable person--a man of his word. He does tell many stories, but they end up leading to his point in the education process. He tries to relate his real world experiences to the lessons in class--A+. I love his easy going approach to learning--Best teacher i had in my life.

I took Prof. Harrison in grad school back in 1999. He was an engaged, kind professor, who taught us a lot. I felt supported and encouraged by him, despite the fact that I was juggling too many things outside of the classroom. If you have a chance, take him. You won't regret it.

I've taken professor harrison 3 times already. He's pretty anal about attendance and reading the material. Easy A and a fantastic professor. He gets mood swings from time to time, but don't worry. Sometimes he'll assign no work in a semester and sometimes he'll wake up and decide to assign a paper. My favorite professor in Brooklyn College

Alright I had this guy for Overview of Lit 1 and all I can say is wow. Best professor I've ever had. This guy is like a sage and is a treasure trove of information. I initially took him for the easy A, but it's so much different now. He is like Dumbledore awesome. Take him because you won't regret it. I'm so taking him every semester from now on.

This professor is great!Once a week there was an assigned reading, and then we would write about the reading once a week in a about a page.The final grade was based on these writing assignments. In addition, he let everyone out early. He is a very fair grader-excellent professor, and great guy overall.

You dont need to buy the $10 book. You basically write 1 page a week on a 5 page short story. If your paper doesnt have any grammatical errors you will get a A. You can get F's on all your papers but get an A on the last 2 and you will get an A in the class. I passed with an A with little effort PLUS he lets you out of class an hour early!!!!!!

He is adept at lecturing. If you are bored in his class, you must be a boring person. He allows individuals an opinion and will argue. He is a decent human being with a vast and extraordinary sensitivity and a huge storage of knowledge. He will inspire you if you allow him to do it and he can make even the most difficult prose a breeze. A+++

Wow, I'm just surprised at all the negative comments recently. He's an amazing and knowledgeable professor. Yes, the class was mostly lectures but that didn't bother me in the slightest - he had some very interesting things to say. Some outrageous but nevertheless interesting things. People need to get out of their comfort zone more.

Took his Shakespeare class this summer. In fact, some of my fellow classmates have already rated him and I'm sad that they gave him such a low grade. He's very easy and very interesting. He's had more experiences than any teacher I've ever had. He has a lot of fun stories to tell. Once in a while he drones on, but what teacher doesn't? He's great!

Wow those recent ratings are rough. Ease definitely has to be a 5 since he literally says "I'll give you an A for showing up" Plus there's literally no work except for a two page paper as a final. We just showed up everyday and watched movies. Harrison is a really nice, funny man (hell he even opened for a comedy club on broadway recently)

im getting an A but i have to be honest about how bad this guy is! most of the time u sit there and basically just hear him lecture and drone on. Worst part is when we were doing Othello he said very offensive things about Blacks and Jews that made the class cringe. White prof that says because he rallied in S Africa he can say whatever he wants
