Awesome professor! He teaches the content through powerpoint lectures, not posted later, so attendance is very important. He created a website for the course and posts outlines that are very helpful as well as study guides. Reading is required- free online textbook! There are several extra credit opportunities available, take advantage!

This class provided enough information to excel in the class with some effort. Extra credit opportunities allowed room for error. With a little bit of effort, this class is an easy B taught by a likeable professor.

Dr. Cavalli is a really good professor and knows what he's talking about. There are online discussion boards due every week, three tests which makes up 45% of your grade and a group project that makes up 35% of your grade. Dr. Cavalli gives good feedback on every assignment, but sometimes it takes him a while to grade things.

His class was not bad and he was a nice guy, but he is a very very tough grader. Make sure you read every article he gives you, the book, and watch all of the videos he provides. His tests are tough, but his lectures are pretty interesting.

Professor Cavalli makes you work for a good grade. He offers lots of extra credit, but you need to study in order to do good. He pull questions mainly from lectures and article presentations.

Professor Cavalli is very knowledgeable about his subject and does his best to get his students to care about it too. His lectures are very helpful in explaining the information from the textbook and he uses videos and pictures to further help his students. His classes are some of the best on campus and I would suggest him for a professor to anyone

I've taken Dr. Cavalli many times in my college career, and continue to respect him as a professor and political scientist. This is senior seminar, so be prepared to write. That being said, the amount of writing required seems excessive with 8 writing assignments in total (5+ pages each). Those who have to take this class, be prepared to write.

Dr. Cavalli is a good professor. If he mentions something in lecture it will be on the test. He gives a lot of extra credit! He is an easy A if you show up and study his lectures! I would recommend taking him! He is very intellectual and caring!

Hes a good teacher but you actually have to pay attention and take notes. He puts his lectures online but you have to show up to class and listen to him explain them. The tests are super easy 12 multiple choice and 2 short answer. Theres lots of extra credit opportunities. Hes funny and really smart just expects you to know it too.

He gives ample extra credit opportunities, and his assistant teacher hosts reviews before every test. He is lecture heavy, but his tests reflect what he emphasized in class. If you show up and go to the reviews you should get an A.

Only 3 tests, including the final, 3 papers, one group project, and some extra credit. Go to the Crossfire meetings because you get 1 point of EC each time you go (can only go 3 times), and you can just sit there and do nothing. If there is a TA, go to her study groups bc they help a lot. Study for the test a couple of hours, and you should do fine

Took him for American government. If he has his assistant teacher ask her to have study sessions with you before tests that help tons!! make sure to take notes and turn everything on time. Also, take every single extra credit opportunity he presents which is a lot.

I've had Cavalli as a teacher multiple times. At the surface, his classes seem difficult and homework heavy, but once you get it down it's not bad at all. Definitely get the books, and show up for class because he always takes attendance. Only warning I have is about the group project, which can get messy but he will help if your members slack

Dr. Cavalli is a good professor who knows what he's talking about. You have to read the textbooks in order to complete discussion posts. He assigns one group project in the latter half of the semester that involves a lot of work. He doesn't lecture very much but shows videos and has discussions that are relevant to the class material.

Fellow note takers beware, his Power Points will not make sense at all unless you actually take time to understand what he's talking about in the lecture. I didn't do this and struggled with studying for his tests. I'd look down to a bunch of nonsense every time. Other than that, the papers and projects were easy. I just hated how arrogant he was.

1 group presentation that is mandatory. 3 two page papers. 3 essay form tests. He does grade you on attendance and participation. He wrote his own textbook, and both it and his lectures are confusing. He's also arrogant, and hard to communicate with. Very little homework though. Very easy but a very boring lecture class.

Professor Cavalli gave very good lectures that explained things very well. He showed many funny, yet relevant, videos also. There is one group project but it isn't bad and as long as you participate. The exams are very lecture heavy with little from the book. He grades the papers easily and as long as you meet the requirements you'll get an A.

Cavalli was one of my favorite professors in my entire college career--not only does he have a fun, dry wit, but he is also eager to help students outside of class. In addition, he is extremely knowledgeable in his field. I would definitely recommend taking him (and don't forget to mention that you like Seinfeld, he will love you forever).

Is very well versed in his field. The class was strange, as he uses his own website that isn't very clear. Had 3 books for the class--all were necessary. Tests (3) were Essay Tests, each 20% of your grade. Huge Group project was very disorganized and difficult to manage. Gives good feedback and is fun to learn from if you actually get involved.
