Comment:

You need to show up to class and pay attention. I asked him a few times to go over the same steps a few times because the programs(Mudbox/Maya) were completely new to me but he was patient and answered my questions. Plays music in the background when we would work on our projects. Has a great sense of humor and is passionate about the class.

Comment:

Carlos is a good guy as a person. He needs to refresh himself on the actual program in order to show the proper use rather than trying to figure it out during class. Students that have never used these programs before rely on the instructors expertise, which was lacking in the program. I had to research most of what I needed to do via youtube.

I enjoyed his DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY.It can get boring but its worth staying from 6pm to 8:45pm. He sometimes puts music on to make the time fly. I learned a lot and it gave me a different view on photos. Only thing i didn't like was he plays favorites. If someone is really good he just keeps show casing them. This was a very difficult class for me, to no fault of Carlos. His teaching style was different from other CT classes I have taken. However, if you are prepared to do the work there is no reason that no one could make an A in this class. I must admit it was the most amusing class I have taken here at TCC.

Very cool guy! His classes can be a little too laid back. But if you are good at independent study/classes, the classes are fine. He has a bit of an accent, so it can be hard to understand him sometimes.But he's a really cool and funny. But sometimes, I don't think teaching is where is heart is. I think is passion is in film making.

Took a multimedia class and an advanced multimedia class with him and learned a good deal in the first one, but he just taught the exact same thing in the second one. There was no new material, and we just did the exact same project. he doesn't teach much when he is in class, just lets you do your own thing.. kind of a joke class. Do NOT recommend.

This guy is a complete joke, probably the biggest one at TCC. His class was a complete waste of time. Would just leave class for no apparent reason and not come back till end. Doesn't explain anything and looks at you dumb if you ask. He's not there for you, he's there for what TCC allows him via equipment, studio, ect. Complete joke.

Carlos is Easily one of the worst teachers I've ever had. When teaching you something on the computer he would do it without explanation at all. This man was also my advisor and I took 19 credit hours of classes I didn't need before I realized he has absolutely no clue what he's talking about. He is a nice guy though. He means well.

I do not understand why TCC would give him an opportuinty to teach any class. If you have to pay for this class out of your own ppocket PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER!!! He thinks everything is a joke and do not take your education serious. He is a jokster. I have a good personality and enjoy laughing but let me learn something since this is my major. NOOO

Mr. Miranda was horrible. What he said in class didn't match the syllabus and when we tried to get him to clarify, he changed his mind again. Quite a few times he left class for nearly two hours while we were left to twiddle our thumbs. Not very helpful if you don't know the program you're working in. We didn't have a book and he gave no notes.

He is the man! Take him - so nice and laid back. Go CARLOS! Neat class too - I learned a lot. And you win a prize(DV video adapter) for whatever groups project is the best. And not per group, per person. Take him...you won't regret it.

I've been in 3 or 4 of his classes, and they have all been easy and fun, and I have learned more from his lectures than any other instructors here. He is the only person I know who's knowledgable in so much software. Only take his classes if you are interested in the coursework. Otherwise the tests and deadlines will hinder your chances of passing.
