Comment:

Her name is Dr. HAZARD for a reason. To take this class will be a waste of time, money and energy. If you see "Hazard" under who is teaching the course, run the other direction! Critical woman who intentionally tries to make us look stupid. Absolutely ABSOLUTELY ridiculous teaching methods and no people skills whatsoever. She is TERRIBLE!!

She has came back out of retirement and it was the worst class I have ever taken. She is constantly talking down to the class and acting like we do not know anything. She belittles the classroom and she doesn't know what she's talking about half of the time. Her map quizzes are ridiculous and she changes the test format every time.

She is a very nice lady but I did not like her as a professor. She is very cynical and over-opinionated - I think. Her tests are hard because you never know what's on them. She does give extra credit opportunities - make sure you take them!! Map quizzes are easy as long as you study - make sure you know EXACTLY where each place is.

do not take her for meteorology. all she talked about was global warming. we didnt learn anything that the other section got to learn. she is mean and puts students down. she prides herself on being hard and tricking students. she is totally unfair. if you can, take dr. jacobs, he is way cooler and you will learn a lot more.

She wasnt that great of a teacher. her tests were ridiculous, and she put things on there that she never mentioned in class or in the readings. she also talked more about her lawn and the world ending than points from the class.

She's nice as a person, but I didn't like her as a teacher. Her tests were really unpredictable as to the information that ends up on them. If you get her study A LOT. Know everything if you want to get an A. I'll be getting a B and I'm one of the students that she likes.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. She picks students whom she likes and gives them whatever grades she wants. She never hands anything back on time and half of the time has no idea what she is talking about. She is disorganized, insensitive, and thinks of herself as above others in every way simply if they do not have her credentials.

Do not listen to anyone that says she is nice/good/smart/normal. She thinks you're stupid if you don't know anything about geology - if you don't do well of course it is not her fault in any way - you just must not be studying enough (even if it's 11 hours). She's very insensitive and likes to talk about disasters and people dying. DO NOT TAKE HER!

this is the worst class i have taken in my 4.5 years at meredith. she is very condescending and rude and makes me feel like an idiot frequently. no one in my class knows what's going on and though i've studied more for her class than all my others, i still cannot seem to make more than a D, and i have never made lower than a B in any class. i hate it and really really regret taking this course.

My grades in her class actually brought me to tears in her office. I finally got out with, believe it or not, an A. BUT, the KEY to her class is that on your tests, write EVERYTHING YOU KNOW. Even on multiple choice questions. Show her you know what every single possible answer means and you'll get extra credit. She LOVES when people do this!

I really understand the way the earth works now. Some of the content was fascinating. She loves what she teaches, but thinks we all share in it. She grades very harshly, and my test scores don't reflect the level of understanding I have achieved.

An extremely smart lady, but that doesn't mean we're extremely smart. Be prepared to do a lot of work for this class, I got an A...so it is possible...I just had to study an average of 10 hours for each test. Be sure to read!

I worked my ass off in this class and I never made above D on the test, but my saving grace was the final. She was lazy and thank goodness I learned the answeres to the old test. The final was the first test over again. I worked so hard and barely got a C

Earth Science was hard. Took the class 2 times. Her tests are tricky and unclear. Even studing gave me a failing grade and a D the second time I took it.
