Comment:

I loved Ms. George's class. I never got anything below a B on my essays. She's funny in her own type of way and I enjoyed going to her class everyday. She's very helpful when you may have any questions and approachable. On the first day of class, she seemed intimidating, but throughout the semester she transformed into a wonderful woman.

From the other reviews, people say she isn't a very good teacher but I completely disagree. She is very helpful and I find her dry sense of humor nice and similar to mine. She can come off stand-offish but she is always willing to help. She doesn't grade hard in my opinion as well. She helped me grow to be a better writer.

Honestly worst teacher ever. Even though she explains but doesn't have fun doing it. I tried to respect her but she'd still be disrespectful, and on top of that she grades extremely hard.

She is extremely hard and very unwilling to clarify assignments. She seems to always have an attitude and very unhappy with her job. She has the tendacy to make smart comments and make people feel bad.I made an A in her class barley but I will NEVER take her class again and I do NOT recommend her as a professor.

Ms. George is tough, but in a good way. If you want to be well educated take her class. She does not put up with immature students' BS & she wants to see students succeed. Offers help & extensions if you are serious about your grade. Show up on time, be respectful, do your work, & you will do great. Thats what were here for & thats what she teaches

This is one of the best English teachers I had so far here at waketech. She is easy to understand, she helps you mostly if you talk to her privately, and loves helping students outside of class. She will prepare you to write good essays not only for her class but for all the classes you might take.

Mrs. George is an okay teacher. I would definitely never have her again. She doesn't seem excited about her job at all. Be prepared to be put on the spot a lot and she loves to tell you you're wrong. If you come in late and she already marked you absent she won't change it. She thinks she's right all the time.

Does not say hi to her students. She seemed really depressed about her job. She makes the face of "oh my god I can't believe I'm here today!" She always rushed me when I reached for extra help. She does a good job going over class materials, but in a very unclear way.

I like Mrs. George. She has a great knowledge of the English language, but she seems like more of a philosopher and not an Introductory English teacher. It was clear that she knew her stuff, but she did not express it with her students.

MS. George is not the teacher you want to have.! I'm not sure how others found her to be so amazing but she was my least favorite teacher. She is never clear about what she wants and thinks she knows it all so YOU ARE ALWAYS WRONG.!

Ms. George is awesome! If you have an interest in writing and learning how to become a good writer take this class! She is funny and class is always fun. Some advice: don't be late to class and attendance is necessary to understand the material.

Mrs. George is a great teacher. She does expect you to come into her class a college writer. If you're not, she gives you plenty of tools to become one (The Writing Center and the MLA Handbook are keys to success). You have to work hard, but it will pay off. My writing has significantly improved. Recommended for all who wish to become great writers

I adored Ms George. She is a great teacher, she does not spoon feed you but she explains the material well. Papers are not easy, she expects a lot but she gives you opportunities to improve if you need them. She does not want to fail students. Use the writing center, I am a great eng student and I would have struggled to make a b w/out it.

She is smart and well educated, but seems tired of teaching mixed type of students. She says things ones, but she does not explain what exactly she wants. After all, shes says, "You did not get this assignment". Assignments are college level Many students dropped the class. She has a nice sense of humor.

She is an excellent teacher. She expects students to come to her class as college level writers. The assignments are very interesting and they are not as hard as people may imply. If you have trouble with the class, she tells you to go to the writing center. I definitely recommend her!

Razor sharp, superior command of the English Language. Listen in her class, she only says it once. She gives you the straight scoop. If you can't perform, she'll tell you to drop the course.

Ms. George is a very tough teacher, but she's fair. She expects everyone to do their best and she does not accept slackers. The essays were very challenging. You need to be able to write at a college level (even straight out of high school.) Just try hard in her class, and she will see the effort and work with you!!!

Comment:

Mrs. George's ENG-113 summer class is tougher than her ENG-111 class, but not too bad. We read some great works from the likes of Faulkner, Shakespeare, Eliot, and etc. I enjoyed this class and it was pretty easy-going and not too tough. ENG-113 seems like it could easily be seen as a 200-level class but take with George only if you enjoy english.
