Dr. Weller is a good professor. He has very tough grading criteria. The class was not worth the depression I went through. I had sleepless night, depression, and anxiety to maintain my grade. I learned a lot in the class but the workload is not worth the class.

Amazing Professor. Fantastic lectures. Well set up tests. Very interesting. He pushes you to try your best. Tests are mostly based off of his lectures, but you also will have to have read the textbook. Especially great class for aural learners. Not a "difficult to comprehend" class, but requires effort. Learned a lot of history! Don't take if lazy

One of the best History Teachers i've had, he knows a lot about the subject and keeps his lectures entertaining. I took a summer semester. His tests are just essays but its not hard at all if you take good notes in class. He did have mini quizzes for my course since it was half online. but you just needed to read the book.

Dr. Weller is a great teacher, I had his for a 3 week mini-semester. Although at times it seemed tough to keep up with the readings, over all it was a great experience. He was quirky and kept things interesting. The tests were 80% essays and he gave lots of extra credit. Take him if you can!

Lectures come straight from the notes and he gives you possible essay questions so you can research and write exactly what you found. My only complaint is he wants you to highlight the book (so i couldn't return for full price) and he goes off topic during lecture and it is BORING!!! otherwise cool teacher with EASY exams

His 20-Q M.C. questions are hard, on the tests he also has students write 2 essays, so know alot about the stuff he talked most about. Learn his pet peeves in writing assignments and avoid. Start your Research paper in advance because he has you turn in your Topic, Intro and Conc. paragraphs, and Works cited in early. read the schedule given!!!

After taking Dr. Weller's honors class, I discovered an interest in American history. He cares a lot about the subject he teaches and his students. I highly recommend his honors interdisciplinary class over the regular course because you really learn a LOT. His honors class challenged me but I wouldn't have changed it if I could. Loved it!

He is a really good teacher, makes history interesting. He is a lot of work though and he does do group projects, which i don't like. However, he is helpful and if you need help with something dont be afraid to ask. He makes corny jokes and his tests are mostly essays. However, whatever you studied in the group project is generally one of the essay

very sweet, kind professor. there is SO much work that has to be put in to pass with an A. he gives u a list of possible essay topics, and 2 of those topics will consist of 80% of your test grade. So you have to study all of the essays just in case. he really helps out his students. hes VERY FUNNY. I would recommend him to anybody. LOVE DR.WELLER!

Made an "A" but it took ALOT of effort. If your not a hist major and just need the credits, look somewhere else. He is really nice and intelligent, but that's not my major. His tests are 22 multi-choice and 2 essay questions. you MUST read the book, which is sleep inducing, and you MUST pay attention. Again, not an easy "A"! Benton White is easier!

His lectures are so boring. There is only 3 days out of his class that I actually stayed awake. But he is a great teacher if u want to learn! You'll learn a lot if you take him! His test are hard but as long as you study you'll do fine. Just study the essay questions and read the book and you'll get a A. i never picked up my book so i got C-! haha

This is a very interesting professor. The only thing I didnt like about this class is that I took the 3 week mini from him instead of the 16 week. He brings history alive and me being a 28 year old man, he actually made me tear up once. He has no political agenda in this class, he is fair,he allows you to have your own opinion. Take hist from him

I think Professor Weller is a really sweet professor, but his way of teaching didn't really appeal to me. His grading is a little difficult, and his lectures are kind of boring. But overall, I learned a lot from him.

Very good teacher. Not an easy A but if you study regularly it's possible. Here's what is required: 2 exams (100 pts each), 1 book review (50 pts), 3 easy map quizzes (5 pts each), and final exam (200 pts). I have been bored with history in the past.
