Comment:

Prepare to waste 15 minutes each class to hear a story that could have been told in 2 minutes. He also gives homework assignments on material that is covered the day after the homework is due, which makes no sense. Forces you to buy the textbook he wrote (will not distribute it for free). He's good at teaching, just a mediocre professor overall.

I feel bad that he was pushed into teaching the class last minute, but he was horrible. Not prepared and the homework assignments were brutal. Class average was a 40 lol

This guys was not prepared to teach this class. Syllabus vague, and the whole class consisted of brutally long homework(6 pages front and back average) and exams. Lectures irrelevant to exam material 70% of time. If you take this class w Boncelet expect to learn this class completely independent of the professor. The curve is mean so dont drop.

He kinda got thrown into teaching this class last minute so I don't really blame him for struggling to teach it. With that said, he definitely wanted us to do well but I don't think he was prepared to teach this class at all.

Great teacher! The homework takes a long time to do and is worth almost nothing but it you do it the exams will be a piece of cake. All of our exams were really easy and he has 3 exams (2 midterms, and a final) he drops the lowest midterm and counts your highest exam grade twice. He gives you a lot of old exams to study of from which are helpful

This class mostly covers probability and statistics that essentially makes it an annoying/monotonous math class. The topics are dull and class is boring. HWs can get long & grueling, and usually 1/2 of test Qs are very hard. That said, everything is graded pretty easily and apparently curved. Do your HW well and study & you'll end up w/ a B

The teacher is very friendly and welling to help. Material is fairly easy and test are defeintly identical to homeworks. Not hard to get a good grade, just got to finish each homework and understand what you are doing

More tangents than calc class. Material is kinda confusing, but his tests are on the easy stuff. Book is really good, use the CD it comes with. Good man.

agree highly with above comments. Professor rambles and gets off topic a WHOLE lot. Don't expect a great education but expect a good grade, I thought I was doing horrible but I got an A.

Comment:

Class was random signals and noise, didn't ever discuss signals of any variety, and no mention of noise until the last month. Learned a lot about probability and statistics. Very helpful in his office, fair exams, few (though toughly graded) homeworks.
