Conwell likes to test his students' confidence by making weird Shakespearean references and maintaining long eye contact. Just pay attention, do your best, be respectful, and ALWAYS treat your weapons like they're sharp. Never met anyone as dedicated to the art as he. Best class ever!

Comment:

Very very particular and technical, but it is worth it to learn this stuff precisely. Makes inappropriate comments and is sometimes insensitive in the way he corrects students. This class is tough- but if you want to be good, you'll appreciate the rigor. Don't skip class, it moves fast and everything is important.

Mr. Conwell is one of the men who has my upmost respect in this world. He is the greatest stage combat professor on this earth, demands respect, but gives respect where it is due in return. I am confident that I will be well on my way to earning my place with the SAFD with his guidance and standards. I am proud to be learning from a man like him.

Charles is the best teacher I've ever had. Thanks to him, I have a solid career path. His demand for professionalism and good work in the classroom is refreshing, and he genuinely cares about his students. Intimidating at first, but only so you toughen up. He's the MAN, and his class is the only class I will miss when I graduate.

this man is all about the sex of the theatre! he's very passionate in his work, and makes sure everyone is on the same level. he doesn't do any of the work for you, which is great. he's the type of teacher you have to build up courage and respect for. and ALWAYS maintain eye contact with him. :D he's my fave.

How can you not like Conwell!? Great passion for what he teaches. Excellent teacher. Demands respect and teaches responsibility. He's old fashion in his beliefs and I think that's one of the many reasons why people like him so much. Great guy to learn stae combat from. Two thumbs up!
