Comment:

He knows a lot about chemistry but has a hard time explaining it, so his lectures aren't very useful. Very helpful in labs provided you go and ask him things. If you know unit conversion you'll do fine on quizzes. Group quizzes are basically the same as the following tests, so actually work on them. Fun guy, but not the best teacher I've had.

this professor is the best Professor i have ever taken. even though i like all the teachers i took, he was pretty nice at every level.i took the final exam at his office, when the exam is tommorrow and what was my excuse "dont feel like taking tomorrow". nicest teacher ever

This guy cannot teach for the life of him. Knows chemistry, but cannot relay his knowledge in an understanding manner to students. A typical lecture with him is him standing up there chatting about random stuff. Gives equations with no examples to go along. Although received a B, i feel like i didn't learn anything. AVOID if you want to learn.

Prof Gallucci really wants you to do well in his class. He will help you with any questions you have. I hate chemistry but it was okay with Gallucci. Do the practice tests cause they are basically identical the real test. The class is pretty easy.

Comment:

Dr. Gallucci made a most unpleasant subject very enjoyable. I took the hybrid and had him for both the online lecture and in class lab. Make sure you get him for both. If science isn't your thing, this is the class for you. His study guides for tests/quizzes are right on target for the real thing. Study them and you will do well!! Recommend!

Dr. Charlie was my lab teacher for a hybrid class. I agree w/previous posts that he is a great guy. However, for our class directions were vague or nonexistent. He was there for questions but get in a good lab group bc that is who will help you get through it! Maybe he is just too smart to teach this course!

Dr. Gallucci is a great professor and really wants his students to succeed especially if you are putting the work into the class. This is not a course you can skate by, you will need to take the time to read the info. in the book & ask questions. Do the review tests, remember your last name, and go to class. He makes chemistry less intimidating.

Dr. Charlie has a caring personality. Of course, he is the true meaning of a "nutty professor". Just stick it out with him and you will get a good grade. He takes conversion quizzes every day, and gives you ample chances to get full points in quizzes. I would re-take Chem 172 with him. HARDEST of Gen Chem's but you will pass with Dr. Charlie!

He's a good teacher. He is a little crazy and a little loony but all of is take home quiz's are easy and they are basically the exam. The in class quizzes aren't bad just study the notes from the day before. But other than that hes a great teacher!!

Charlie was a great teacher! He is so helpful and willing to work with you. He never makes you feel stupid if you don't know the answers, and is good about letting you do things hands on to better understand. Definitely take a class with him! :)

Goofy, off track, boring, mumbles. This is the type of teacher that you are afraid will lose your assignments once you turn them in. Does not grade in a timely manner. Carries your graded papers in a grocery bag. He isn't all there. Perhaps he is better in his field of Chem, but not NSCI. I am not sure what book he follows, if any. Tests are easy.

Makes chemistry fun. Great sense of humor. Very easy tests. Hands out review sheets that very similar to tests. Do not take if you can't spell your last name. Otherwise you can't go wrong!

he is great professor, he is easy, you have to read the book so make sure you do so, read and do the excercises regularly, also, his sample tests are so helpful so make sure you dont miss out on these... highly recommended.... i wish he teaches 173 also
