Professor Guez truly cares about his students. He is very approachable and tries his best to help. Material may often seem confusing but he also does a lot of practice problems to guide you through it. There are no surprises on his tests- they are the same as the practice problems he does in class.

If you want to learn financial markets, definitely take one of his classes. Has a substantial expertise in international business, FOREX, banking, value portfolio. Not a usual style of teaching, makes you understand a concept, rather than a material. Don't get surprised that you got to read the book to pass an exam.

He is not the easiest person to understand, but he cares for his students and his lectures are entertaining and engaging. The tests are basically the same as the homework questions and are all multiple choice. Not a difficult course or professor if you put in a little bit of effort outside of class.

Not a helpful teacher. He is hard to understand and does not prepare you well for the exams at all. He wants you to ask questions, but when you do he gets upset. You have 3 exams, 1 project, homework, and participation. This is the worst honors class I've taken and my first C.

STAY AWAY!! horrible teacher very unclear and gets irritated if you ask too many questions. No reviews, Read full chapters and summarize it every class period, qualified person but zero teaching skills, zero tolerance in attendance, DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER if you want to mantain good gpa.

Dr. Guez teaches a lot of information about Financial Banking. I took FINA7314 at Summer 1 of 2006. There were three exams and one presentation within 4 weeks. Students had a lot of work to do. Dr. Guez did not use PowerPoint or other notes. Students must spend much time in recording what he said. And there was not a curve in the final grade.
