Took Chao's online course... never again! The class is Organizational Decision Making. I have ZERO clue how any of the information I was tested/quizzed/assigned even relates to "organizational decision making." The set up of his online course is so disorganized, and if you're anything like me who tend to like things clear cut and neat... STAY AWAY

At first I didn't enjoy this class at all. I thought the lectures were boring and it was a lot of material but after a couple weeks the class was really enjoyable. He's a really smart and funny professor that genuinely cares about his students. You don't find that at a lot of schools. He offers so much help and wants to see you improve.

Easy A! 3 exams, 2 quizzes where he drops the lowest. They are all online, the answers are either on his slides or on google. He curves if the class does bad but my class did well. There is one group project but as long as you have original data you will get a 80 lowest. Very friendly and helpful. Attendance not needed as long as you do the work.

Professor Chao is an awesome professor! He cares a lot about his students. He gives 3 tests and two quizzes throughout the semester and he drops the lowest grade for both. If you pay attention in class when he is talking about what is going to be on the exam, you are going to be fine! I would take him again.

A is a 90. This class is the same exact format as MGT 3346. 3 Tests (60%) drops the lowest one. 3 HWs (15%). Every answer to the test and HW can be found on Google. 2 Quizzes (10%) drops the lowest one. He makes the questions up himself and they are tricky. Research paper (15%). You can email him a copy and he will let you know what to edit.

A is a 90. There are 3 tests (90%) and 2 quizzes (10%). Drops the lowest of each. The test is 25 multiple choice questions (50%) and the other 50% are math questions. All 25 questions can be found in the powerpoint and on quizlet. For the math section, he sends you an excel sheet with the formulas typed in. All you have to do change the numbers.

Puts up a powerpoint each class, but does nothing to make the class or topic interesting besides his jokes that are tepid at best. He probably has good intentions, but you will not learn anything about management in the class. His examsquizzes do not test reading comprehension or understanding of the topics, which goes against purpose of exams.

2 quizes and 3 exams all online. You don't even have to show up to class (and trust me once you meet the guy, you won't want to). The lowest quiz and exam will be dropped, so you could potentially not have to take the final at all. However, the multiple choice questions are confusing as hell. I failed the first exam thinking I got like a 90 on it.

Wish I would've dropped his class. His tests are OVERLY tricky for NO REASON, (it's almost like he wants you to fail) and incorporates the textbook we NEVER use as part of the exam. Boring power points and annoying group project as well. Sweet guy, but I prefer my classes to be straight forward so I won't be taking him again.

Cons: can be hard to understand and his tests have tricky questions. But a lot of pros: three tests, two quizzes, drops lowest of each; really helpful; gives out some of the test questions in class; all tests and quizzes are online. It's possible to get an A. I recommend getting the textbook and reading chapters. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Chao

I just had Dr. Chao's Mgt 4322 class in Summer Session 1, 2012. I also took his Mgmt 3325 course in Fall 2011. What a great professor! He answers your emails almost immediately, even nights and weekends. He's not out to screw you like some others and is very easygoing. AND YOU LEARN! Don't drop or be intimidated by his syllabus and short paper.

Dr. Chao is one of the best professors at St. John's. He goes over all the material that you will see on the exams. There are 3 online exams. The lowest grade will be dropped. THere are also two hw assignments and the lowest will be dropped. Great teacher! Do some work and you will be rewarded with an A. Trust me! I took him 4 times for a reason.

easy A. gives you 2/3 of the mc questions in class and explains the problems in detail so it's worth showing up to class (he doesnt take attendance). 3 exams 2 hws all online, counts highest 2+1. so if u did well in the beginning, the burden's off ur shoulder towards final.

Try to avoid his MGT 509 course. His online tests are very hard and many questions are not related to materials in textbook nor class. His project was a lot of fun though and makes you think. He is a very nice man though, but not my style of professor. His tests were so hard he gave 35 point curves. But he only fail students that are MIA.

Tests are all taken online. Gives a portion of the test questions in class alongside their answers. Teaches from powerpoints. Attendance not mandatory, but recommended in order to get all the questions he gives out. Tests extremely hard without those. Project/paper in end; based on originality and you must submit a product of your research.

Very Funny Prof, he tells jokes to ease the tension. He gets carried away sometimes from telling jokes/stories, but he does cover the material, especially the math portion. He gives you the answers to most of the conceptual questions, so you better come to class. He even helped me on a material covered in a diff course. Taking him again.
