Comment:

Choi means well, but that doesn't make up for the other faults in this class. Most students fail his first two exams. You will NOT learn the material from his lectures in class. The class environment is kind of intense - He likes to be very dramatic, slam his hands, and call people out for not picking up on the material as fast as he would like.

Look this guy is one of those people where you have to get on his good side. I got 76.6 on the first two tests. On my final I got an A. On my homework I got an A (using chegg and coursehero) His class isnt hard. Attend every class and raise your hand occasionaly and you will get an A. Theres noway my grade added to an A but i got one.

Comment:

Choi tries but lacks in areas of professionalism and overall communication skills. He has a heavy accent and often speaks broken english. This class is once a week. Each week there are Wiley Plus Assignments that you must teach yourself. If you are a Tobin student or business major, I do not suggest taking this class.

Comment:

Professor Choi is really nice, but not a great teacher. He teaches directly from the online powerpoints, and often teaches a concept completely wrong before having to go back and correct himself. He wasn't good at clarifying questions, so often you had to go back and learn the material yourself. But tests aren't too bad, and not much hwk overall.

He is not clear and you have to teach yourself the chapters if you want to do good. Homework is usually on Wiley Plus but he does not explain how to them beforehand. If you can do not take him!!

The only reason I got an A was because he loved me. I really should have gotten a B from my test grades and wileyplus. 3 tests, wileyplus, and participation grade. He is a cute little man who really cares about his students but not the best professor. Not the best not the worst.

His tests were easy if you did the homework and read the notes. He cares about his students and tries to make sure every student understands the material. The class was basically him reading the powerpoints and answering any questions we had.

Definitely not the worst. He's the sweetest man and cares a lot about his students. Do your online homework, go to class and participate, it adds up in the long run. I failed both midterms, but did well on the final and got a B-.

Comment:

Great professor. Has an obvious accent but is still very clear and usually understandable. Tests are easy if you do the hw and pay attention to class lectures. There is a heady amount of hw on a weekly basis, so you have to be prepared to put in the time and effort to do the work. The class is definitely worth paying tuition for, in my opinion.

Advanced Managerial Accounting, It is the worst class and am very upset that I have spent my grad tuition $ on this class. He asks unclear questions, does not provide an outline for exams, does not review any material, does not make it clear what he expects from our work, and I have no idea what Im supposed to be learning. Very frustrating!

Had him for fundamentals. I don't know why he has bad ratings, the only problem is sometimes his accent is hard to understand. He's a very good teacher, very knowledgeable. Test's aren't hard if you do the home works, and homework's are easy just long (online wiley plus hw). Take him, do the work, get a good grade he's very fair.
