I honestly enjoyed this class. There were alot of people who didn't show up to class and failed because of it. It's a nobrainer; show up to class and get the notes, study the notest and do the assignments and labs. You will get it least a B. Labs are so easy to get 10/10 on. NO reason for anyone to fail this class.

Christine is a challenging professor but I do not regret one bit taking this course with her. Every class I took after this one I have done exceptionally well in. This class did not only give me a really good understanding of Organic Chemistry but it also helped me learn how to study effectively. This is a hard course but christine is still great

Comment:

Christine gets a very bad rap at Kwantlen, and it's quite unfair. The material is hard, not her course. The people who made it through her class the first time, kept on top of their work load; whereas, the rest of us let it sit until the week before an exam. You won't pass ORGO anywhere with that type of work ethic. Christine is awesome!

Comment:

Very hard but very helpful prof. She was always available for help and would answer any questions in class. This is the hardest course you'll take. I recommend Christine, shes funny and approachable, but you need to work really hard to succeed. study everyday!

I cannot believe she hasnt changed. I took the course 3 years ago with her and scored 30% on the midterm which was above average, despite studying very hard. I took it at SFU the next semester and and the first midterm had the same material, and i did not study for the midterm and scored 90%. she has an 80% fail rate, nice lady but brutal exams

She is nice and helpful, but the way she teaches - SUCK -. Whatever she write on the overhead is never enough for anyone to pass. class average <42%. u have to do lots of reading in order to understand what she means for a simple concept. Take perkin instead

Her class has a > 50% failing rate. Is it her fault? maybe the material is just that hard. Would it really be easier in UBC? doughtfull. I have a GPA of 3.8 in sciences yet I ended up dropping the course. I have not taken this course anywhere else so i cant offer any basis of comparison. Perhaps this rating is towards the course and not the teacher

i took her class even tho the ratings were bad cuz no other proff was teaching but she is sucha nice proff, alot better then suzanne pearce. She isnt hard, her tests are pretty easy as long as you study and go through her notes. she is extremely helpful and you dont feel stupid asking her questions. She likes to joke around and is a fun proff.

Best prof ever. Always willing to help if you ever need anything, even if you aren't in her class or if it's not school related. Always joking, but most students take her too seriously. It just takes effort in class to succeed. Being in her class brought UP my GPA. She likes to challenge students, but if you know your stuff you would be fine.

i read the comments on this site about her and i still took her class becuz i always believed that nothing is hard if u put ur mind to it.not only did i waste my money, my gpa fell drastically. WORST teacher EVER! When you ask questions,she makes you sound DUMB in CLASS or out of class.Her notes are terrible, she makes several of her OWN MISTAKES and needs to be corrected by a SUB.Students do NOT understand her,I have had much feedback,everyones GPA dropped BECAUSE of HER. worst teacher ever.WORST!Her notes are all over the place.Very unstable mood. Really bad @ explaining things and give VERY HARD tests. No one can finish! At the end, she raised everyone's % because she knew what she did was WRONG! only 4 ppl registered for 2420 in her class.(the class was cancelled)

i found christine super nice!!! she always helps you when you ask and explains things really well. Really approchable. the only downside?...her tests are a bit hard...but if you go to her,do your homework, and study hard...you'll do just fine!...i found her to be a good prof.

worse chem teacher ever! can't teach, can't control her own emotions. she would blow up for no apparent reason in class! lack of organization, always stressed out & moody, somewhat unprepared & unclear notes. unrealisitc expectations. terribly hard exams. over-controlling, esp on labs. stay away!
