Caring and passionate about the subject she teaches, but has very boring lectures and terrible teaching style. Expect to read the textbook very closely and memorize very random statistics about public opinion that make her 5 quizzes impossible to get a 100%. Provides extra credit opportunities and allows you to bring a notecard for in class essays.

She gives very boring lectures that last the entire class. No other homework though besides reading. Lots of quizzes that are very difficult and nit-picky. Nice lady though and always willing to clarify things. At the end of the semester she also gives a bunch of extra credit quizzes to help you for the final.

Very difficult for an elective class. Her quizzes and tests are based off of odd specifics and statistics in the textbook rather than concepts. I did not learn a lot from this class, and at the same time I struggled to achieve high grades. Overall very boring and condescending professor, and I do not recommend this course.

Very difficult quizzes. Difficult Exams. Get ready to read between the lines of every page (Cover to cover yeah!) of a very dense course book! And this is only if you want a decent grade. As a person she's amazing. But she will definitely make you work very very hard for a decent grade. But she really cares about her topic. Very knowledgeable.

You read out of the textbook and discuss it the next class. Pretty basic stuff but Williams does a good job of keeping the lecture interesting. Probably my favorite class so far. Quizzes are common but pretty easy if you read. She also does lots of extra credit on them. The papers are also easy because she allows you to bring a notecard for them.

Highly recommend you take her throughout your time at Bentley! She is really nice and a great teacher. Can be a tad boring to listen to but that's just the subject matter. Her lectures are very helpful and the tests and quizzes are based off of her notes. 2 in class essay tests and 5 quizzes and 1 course paper. If you put effort in you will do well

Every class is boringgg... It's difficult to pay attention. There are a few very difficult quizzes that are impossible to fully prepare for, a group project (easy), a final paper (lots of work), a midterm, and a final (both somewhat difficult). Overall, the topics shouldn't be as difficult as she makes them, but I managed a 3.7 with a lot of effort

Boring lectures every class. You're graded on very few things, so make sure you do well on all of the quizzes (there's 4 or 5). The quizzes are only worth 5 points each, so I blew them off thinking that they weren't important, not knowing that your grade consists of about 100 points.

Awful teacher. Gives extremely specific quizzes every week. Gives very boring lectures every class and is a tough grader on essays. Would not recommend Prof. Williams

Her lectures are really boring and has really specific quizzes, so read the textbook and pay attention to info you would not think is important. Has 5 quizzes, 2 exams (gives prompts ahead of time), 8 page course paper, and a final (also gives the prompt). Would not take again!!

Yikes. Loved gov before taking this class. Currently sitting in it and falling asleep. Confusing quizzes, long lectures that make every minute painful. Seems like a nice lady though.

She is very sweet and tries to make the class interesting because if you're not hugely into politics it can be dry at times. Read the assigned reading and the quizzes are easy. She grades her essays very easily, just answer all the parts of the questions and she gives you the questions in advance so you can prepare before.

If you like lectures, then take her. Honestly it's really boring. All it is, is government of the U.S and how it works. The quizzes aren't clear and her grading is pretty tough. I wouldn't take her again, but she is a very nice lady.

Williams was okay. She misspeaks a lot which can be frustrating. Her quizzes can sometimes be weirdly specific, so read the chapter carefully, which sucks because her books are so ridiculously content rich - way too advanced for a 100 level class. We had a sub one day that said it was out of line. Really nice woman, but takes a gen ed too serious

The only reason why I took this class was because I had taken a little bit of American Gov in High school so i thought i would do fine in this class. turned out to be my hardest class and out of all my grades, the lowest. Williams is SO borring and I studied for a good 6+ hours for each of her 2 exams and final and still got high C's!

all she does is lecture and she's sooo boring. you don't really have to do the readings, but not reading makes her tests even more impossible. spend a lot of time studying and for your final paper pick a politician that you know she likes (like clinton, for example) because she's very biased when it comes to grading.

I loved government entering this class and this lady truly destroyed that passion. Class discussion is hell, it turned into everyone playing mario kart, tests are nearly impossible to do really well on, grading on paper is biased, don't write about a conservative

She's one of those ladies that you would find at a grocery store with a pile of coupons and paying with nothing but nickles and dimes. Very nice, but odd. She lectures 95% of the time, and the other 5% is either spent taking the 3 tests that you have all semester, or completing meaningless, irrelevent mini group presentations. Overall, average.
