Great professor, make class interesting and enjoyable, never wanted to miss one of his classes! The midterm was a beast, he makes you really work to earn your mark, but definitly worth it, he taught me so much!

His lectures are interesting but the mid-term was a joke... And not the good kind of joke. The class average was 50 and he had to bump it up so we didn't all have 30's. He is great with the slides, and is easy to understand though.

Professor MacLeod is a very interesting, funny lecturer. He enjoys adding a personal touch to his lectures and makes you want to learn more. Even though this course was a very basic one, he made it as interesting as possible, good job and thank you, Colin!

The lectures are not necessary to do well in the class, but I attended most of them because they were really interesting. He's really passionate and excited about his work and he is also very approachable and accommodating. The exams were harder than I anticipated, but overall he is an amazing professor.

The hardest class I've ever taken at UW and it is a 101! While material is VERY interesting, proff is not too clear on explaining. Class average was 52%. 2 midterms, 1 final. Tends to test 101 students like that of 4th yr psych MAJORS! If you study your butt off, you can earn a B. He is helpful/approachable outside of class. He's a nice man.

Very clear, definitely knows what he's talking about. Made me very interested in psychology. Exams are kind of tricky cause there is a lot of information to remember. Gives lots of examples so you understand it. Only problem is it at 8.30 in the morning

You got to read the textbook; there is just too many things to know! It's a great book though; interesting with lots of cartoons and pictures. And since he does put some things on the midterms and exam that are not covered in the textbook, you should try to go to all the classes. It's possible to do well if you work relatively hard.

Even though it was an early morning class, I managed to stay awake for the lectures (well, most of the time). He is very clear with the material, and I found the anecdotes and stories he tells very interesting. Love those comics and quotes at the beginning of the classes.

very interesting course! make sure you do your readings and are fully rested before class. if you're tired, its impossible to stay awake. if you're ready for class, its easy to concentrate. he's an interesting prof and he knows what he's talking about. first midterm was brutal, second one was alright, 3rd is yet to come. make sure you study!

- You know how in some games, you run into this stage and it's impossible to get through it no matter what you do. well for a first year course, he tests you as if you are his PhD student. I agree Mr. Colin that you have a PhD, but that does not mean you must prove to your 100 class course you are an intelligent and capable being.
