Don't take him for Survey class. He will kill your GPA. If you can wait, take it in Fall with the other professor. He is good professor for the other classes but not Math 4389.

He is a greatest professor I've ever had in my entire life. He is so nice and willing to help his students, always reply your mail. This is a tough class, but he explained everything clearly in detail. I thought I have no chance to make an good grade in this class bc the materials so hard, but the ways he taught is perfect,I did good on the tests.

An amazing professor. He is very clear in lecture and he expects from everyone. He does give a lot of exams but they aren't heavy and studying for them isn't horrible. A lot of work ( lot of studying and HW) but very doable. He is extremely nice and always willing to talk. I recommend taking him. His notes are usually better than the book btw.

Awesome professor who wants students to succeed in the course. He formulated an exam strategy and a condensed version of the notes for each exam. Just follow his strategy and advices and you will do extremely well for this course. Willing to spend time after class to discuss about the course and even gave me valuable advices about my career path.

Great professor and straight forward. He tells you what to do to get a good grade just read the notes a lot, text book is only meant for hw so find the cheapest book possible. Hard hw but does curve so do them all, try you best and study a lot because he makes you earn your grade. Helps outside of class, quickly responds to emails, would recommend.

He is very straight-forward. He tells you what is expected, and how to do well in his class. By the end of the class you will be much more comfortable reading and creating proofs. It takes effort, but if you do what he says to do,it will pay off. He genuinely wants students to succeed in his class.

He is a great professor. His notes are easy to understand and he does not test anything that isn't covered in class. He will be happy to even meet you outside his office hours if you need extra help. This class is not an easy A but if you listen to his advice then you should be fine.

Overall a pretty chill Professor. Gives quite a few bonus points and drops a little bit of everything before the final grade. Sometimes, he goes a bit fast though, but I took this during the summer. DON'T TAKE SUMMER MATH UNLESS YOU'RE WILLING TO COMMIT. Overall, the class is a doable and he's the only one who give you a chance to exempt the final.

Calculus 2 is HARD! Be prepared. Go to class. Stay on top of your homework. Pray for a good TA. The material goes super fast, so take good notes and take advantage of his typed notes + his links to the other professor's notes. Also, take advantage of his office hours! He is super nice and helpful! Do your quizzes until you get an A!!!

I am taking this class for the second time, the first time I took it I absolutely despised Linear Algebra and thought it was the hardest math ever. After trying again with David everything seemed so simple. He is very good about repeating ideas that are important, and shows very good step by step instructions to solve problems.

Took in summer. Made same excuse for his unpreparedness: "I haven't taught this course in 12 years." Material is easy. He is not the best at teaching. Overcomplicates things. Very negative, sarcastic personality. Linear Alg has easy concepts. I wouldn't take him for upper level courses, because I know he couldn't teach them well. Too disorganized.

I'm somewhat amused by him. The textbook we used was horrendous, which made the homework from it a pain in the butt. He made multiple mistakes on the chalkboard during class, which had to be corrected by students. He sometimes repeats himself in awkward ways. But he's a funny little guy, unintentionally. I made an A, but others weren't so lucky.

He's a good teacher and helpful in office hours. Attendance is not mandatory. Study his class notes and you'd do well. He gives study advice in the beginning of semester. Take it very seriously. If you study the way he tells you, you will get an A in this class. After taking this course, I can write proofs on my own.

Would not take again. Difficult class. He always stated the we should review our notes and practice at home until things were either clear or we knew what questions to ask him. But let's face it, most students don't do that. Yet he never changed teach methods. Still, he curves the grade and if you stick it through, he curves it more.
