Learning about legal research is tough enough without actual hands-on teaching, this guy definitely made it unbearable. The most bitter professor I have met in school. Doesn't teach anything in class. Doesn't even check to see if the assigned homework was done correctly. He justs wanted us to submit something without ever giving feedback.

Despite the boring class, pay attention. This is useful material and difficult to teach in the abstract. At the end of the class he calls on people about stuff he went over and it was embarrassing that no one had a clue. He's funny but is very aware of the students. Read the book carefully and pay attention to what he says NOT to do.

Easily, the worst series of classes that I have taken in the history of my academic life. It was a great class to catch up on facebook and the NYTIMES. Would never take another class with him.

Good lord, how does someone who's technically challenged teach Legal Research which mainly involves the use of westlaw.com and lexisnexis. It takes a good 10-15 mins every class just to locate his files and open up PDFs, along with the usual debacle of getting the projector to work. The way this course is designed is just useless...

Funny guy. Welcome relief to other classes. ALWD is useless because no one uses it. In order to do well on the final, study the Basic Legal Research book extensively. It is a pain, but it is worth it in the end. You don't need to pay attention in class at all.

Useless class! This was a waste of time and that class has the nerve to have a final. You're better off without it. But you can't throw it away because it's worth 15% of your writing class. What a mockery of one's intelligence.

He teaches the ALWD citation manual instead of Bluebook. This kills you because ALWD isn't used anywhere. Not like you have a choice though because he teaches all 5 sections. Funny guy though. It's funny to hear him talk about the "West Chipmunks" and that can be a relief from typical law school material.

This professor is really funny! He works the room like a stand-up comic, those who didn't laugh didn't have a sense of humor. The class is obviously critical to becoming a lawyer and Epstein makes it understandable. He's clear, knowledgeable, and everything you'd expect from a top-notch prof.Tough exam but go to class and read & you'll ace it.

Fun guy. He is cleat, but only because he reads out of the book. His appearance makes it funnier though. I did not read the book on purpose to keep the class interesting. Listen a little in class, DO go to the library and do research, and you wont have to study for the final at all.

He's a nice guy and funny. You'll wind up goofing off in class and he knows it. Do not underestimate the final. It'll be more detailed and require more application than you think.
