He's a very nice person but extremely boring and often goes off-topic for a whole class on things you don't need to know. He does give random pop quizzes on characters from the book you're reading. Tests are all in the same format with matching and essay.

Absolutely great prof! He's funny, insightful, and understanding. I really enjoyed his class, but I can promise that it's not an easy A. However, if you go to class and read the assignments, you should be just fine. Expect to read a lot and learn a lot, but you will have fun doing it if you give him a chance. He's awesome!

Thomson is a great teacher. I loved his insight into Literature. I was lucky to have him for short storys and poetry. He's no joke though!

I enjoyed his class overall despite the fact that there were definately some dull moments. As far as doing well in this class goes, all you have to do is actually read the assigned reaadings and you'll be golden!

Dr. Thomson's cool and very helpful. He can get boring at times and runon, but his class was so much fun. Kudos to the Doc!
