Comment:

Dee was the best teacher I've ever had. She passed away last night and I will forever miss her. The things she taught me have helped mold me into who I am today. Because of Dee I am a better person. I will miss her like crazy! What an amazing lady!

D is a fabulous teacher, mentor and most of all friend. She loves her students. AKA "My kids" . She lives for teaching and learning herself. If you have never taken a course from D then you have truly missed out on so many levels. She has been the most influential person in many peoples lives. She will be missed by many. I love you Momma D!

LOVE THIS TEACHER! I have had her for every psychology class. She is hard, I wont lie but you will learn from her class. I am so thankful for her class because it taught me how to think for myself and develop my own views that beliefs. She is a great teacher. She is hard and doesnt bend on what she expects. One of my favorite teachers ever.

Dee is not a bad teacher by any means, she is rigid in her grading because she expects the best work possible. Everyone has so mc bad to say about her when in fact she is not some mean evil witch but rather a professor who strives for exellence and weeds out the slacks.

I am taking Social Psych from her and she sucks! There are times that she can be funny but that is the only thing she brings to the table. She does not teach at all. All she does is sit in the corner and grade presenters and that has been the whole class. She is not understanding or helpful if you have a question. She is too old to be teaching!!

Fun teacher. She is very strict. Attendance is MANDATORY.Don't take this class if you will miss classes. There are quite a bit of papers but they're fun. Also, there are two exams that are VERY time consuming.They aren't hard, just make sure not to put it off and you will be fine. Again,she is strict but she is a lot of fun. Loves random discussion

This teacher is moody, rude, offensive,prejudiced, and demeaning to her students. She whines about Utah, religion, her neighbor, her students from other classes, etc. I have had some great teachers at SLCC, but Dee is not one of them. She requires 98% to receive an A. You will do okay in her class if you can accept mediocrity.

if you want to learn something from this class. Find another professor. She is horrible. She will make you call out your score on tests in front of the whole class and then make fun of you for not getting a perfect score. I am a good student...and I feel like im failing for the first time. And I have never been so degraded.

Dee is a great teacher to experience. Most of what you will learn is about racism, no matter what class you take. It is a MUST if you have never really learned about 'white privilege'. Dee is very funny if you get on her good side, you will get a laugh out of the outlandish things people say, don't be offended she just wants you to think!

Dee goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with the subject. I took this class with my partner a while back and Dee offended both of us so many times that we stopped going to this class and ended up failing. I am retaking it now, but it is taught by someone else.

D is not hard her work is just time consuming. She is very knowledgeable about each subject. She was fun and does have a sense of humor, you just have to not be offended so easily. She will make you think that's for sure. I liked the class. I took Social Psych from her...very enjoyable. Can't be lazy in this one!

I took 3 of D's class at one time, Psy2250, Psy 2500, Psy 2600 and found her to be one of the best instructors I have ever taken. If you do the work the exams are complicated but are time consuming. She is honest and knowledge and expects you to learn. Great teacher and worth the extra work

Dee is a great professor. She expects you to have a full working knowledge of the material & emphasizes critical thinking. Tests are take home but easily take 10+ hours even if you've done the reading. She may come off a little brash at times but it's because she wants you to understand and learn. She is super funny if you're not easily offended.

Dee is complicated. She does spend a lot of timing going off on tangents ie politics, religion, etc. She really hates Utah and people religious. She is funny at times and many of the discussions are interesting although have nothing to do with the class. Her take home tests are BRUTAL, like 10 to 15 hours of work or more. Bring a tape recorder!!!

Dee was ridiculous! She doesn't teach crap but says "Here's the book, read it and do the work." She was hormonal and grouchie at all times. She never had anything nice to say and even harassed a student in front of the entire class. It is apalling the lows that she will take. Plan to take 10+ hours on her tests. Good Luck...

Dee's class was very interesting. She knows her subject and is willing to give help when needed, but her exams are VERY hard. Expect to spend 10+ hours on the take home exams. And if you have questions on specific instructions ask her. If you are willing to go to class, participate, and READ INSTUCTIONS VERY.

Dee is one special lady and instructor. You may think she is a difficult instructor but she helps prepare you for the universities. I would honestly say she was the best instructor I have ever had and hope to find one as talented as she in my future studies. If you don't do well in her class it is because you didn't study!
