Not a review: It would be great if someone actually listed what types of assignments he gives for MGMT 370. Like can somebody just post the type of HW, quizzes, tests, weekly assignments? It would be very helpful to know. Does he use Connect? or some other online thing where all the assignments will be submitted?

Comment:

I liked this teacher as both a person and a teacher. Had great life stories that related to the class and made you feel like he cared. There was only one downside his tests. When he claims they are easy don't believe him. He lets you have a cheat sheet but good luck in that helping you out. You must know the stuff or don't expect to do well.

"I say this jokingly." The class has a total of 570 points. 150 for each of the tests and 120 split between 12 ten point assignments. You will have to study. He allows a full 8x10 paper with two sides of notes for each test though, so if you put in some time it is not hard to do well. Boring lectures, but that could just be the subject. Nice guy.

I thought he did a good job teaching the course. He was good at answering my questions and giving feedback. Some of the test material was tough in this course, but between the book and online resources, you can figure out the answers. Tests are timed, which puts pressure on the students, but if there is a problem, he is very responsive for help.

"I say this jokingly." He is a good professor. Tests are tough, however he allows 2 full typed double sided 8x11 cheat sheets per test. If you don't get the right answers on the test, he will grade based on the work and if you did it correctly. If you answer a question, he will talk right at you and only you. Stay on top on LearnSmart assignments!

Expects you to figure out math related questions on your own and insists that it's easy math, and it is, but when you are looking at a table and have to put 3 out of the 10 together to get an answer I'd like to know what 3 numbers to use. "We are too reliant on equations." Won't answer questions; talks in circles until you figure it out or give up.

You don't need the book, but you will need the online access code for weekly homework. If you don't like math, the tests will be hard. But if you understand math, it is a piece of cake, and lets you use cheat sheets. Lectures usually last the entire class period, but he relates the topics to real world applications, which keeps it interesting.

great teacher, uses a lot of real life examples. tests were all "open world" you can use the book, notes and even a computer, but were still a little difficult. Take this prof if you can.

ONLINE FORMAT:Lyman's powerpoints included audio that brought his real life experineces to the text. Excellent resource. Very responsive to emails and questions.

He reads off powerpoints the entire time... you get to use a 2 sided piece of paper for each test and it can be typed but once you take the test, it's all about the "higher learning education", and you dont even need the cheat sheet. tests are hard and you don't get them back.

This professor was a joke. I don't understand how teachers get paid to read powerpoints. He talks at the class the entire hour and fifteen minutes and does not encourage participation whatsoever. He gives the impression that he thinks all college students are lazy and stupid. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF if you can avoid him!!!

He is such a dork, but a nice guy. Be prepared to hear "I say this jokingly" like 10 times per class. He only uses the manufacturing industry in examples. I didn't learn anything. The class was pointless for me, but he really is a nice guy.

Who is writing these excellent reviews? He is not a horrible teacher and it is easy to pull off an A in his class, but he is an udder moron, gives you a project and then messes up on the board when he trys to explain it.

Great Professor. His exams may be a little hard but he is a cool guy. Plus he gives out a lot of different Extra Credit assignments you can do if you dont like what you get on your exams and that helps your grade out a lot
