Denise is a WONDERFUL teacher. She really does give you a crazy range of insight and different views and will talk to you about your takes on literature and will point out the holes in your argument to help it be stronger. She is VERY quick at gettting back grades. One of the best teachers I've had at UK, and she was ONLINE!

I absolutely loved English 264 online with Denise Fulbrook. All of the assignments were clearly outlined at the beginning of the semester and you set your own pace. The online lectures were interesting and the feedback on graded assignments were prompt and fair. If you work hard and keep up with assignments then this class is a breeze! Take it!

Because of Mrs. Fulbrook this class was much more engaging. She made the online lessons fun and easy to follow. Her methods and insight made it much easier to understand the readings. The assignments were well thought out with ample amount of time to complete each. Definitely one of my favorite classes at UK...and I'm not even an English major! =)

The material itself is most definitely not the easiest, but Dr. Fulbrook is a most wonderful professor and strives to do anything and everything she can to make sure we all achieve our best. I had a better relationship with this distance-learning professor that I have with professors I see daily. She's simply amazing!

Denise is a wonderful teacher. Although the material is very dense and at times difficult, she truly shows a passion for teaching and engages students with the material as best she can. Her feedback is incredibly helpful and she goes the extra mile to make things easier on students with due dates and expectations. Highly recommend her!!

Comment:

Dense, sometimes difficult material but Mrs. Fulbrook takes the time and energy to make the lectures engaging and you can tell she's very passionate about teaching and helping students genuinely enjoy the course. Incredibly helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to clarify assignments/expectations. HIGHLY recommend her course!

Denise is the best professor I have ever had, the video lectures are engaging and make you want to learn more, normally bland material comes alive as she teaches. Ive had a closer relationship with this distance professor than any professor on campus-she is involved and enthusiastic.Denise makes you love what you're learning and is the best by far

Denise is excellent! Even though she is not physically on campus and this is an online class, she is still the most attentive and helpful professor I have ever had. She takes the time to structure the class in an efficient way and leaves detailed, helpful comments on all assignments. I would love to take a class with her again!

My experience with this class was one of the best I have had during my time at UK. I enjoyed her ENG 262 class so much that I decided to take ENG 261 as well. I have taken numerous online classes and these two have by far been the best. She leaves the most helpful comments on papers that I have ever received. Great class!!

She teaches online, the syllabus is NOT well laid out, nor is it clear AT ALL. I have taken many other classes online, but this is by far the most difficult to keep up with. She is not that helpful, and doesn't live here so for those of you who like/need physical office hours it is not possible!

Took this online. She is a great teacher. For someone who is teaching via online, her comments on papers were great, and not to mention she really wants you to learn about these books. You write a decent amount, but easy enough. Don't buy the books, get them online for free. Well worth it, she's a great teacher.

I took this class online to fulfill graduation requirements. I thought it would be easy, but it took more time than my physical classes. I put so much effort into reading and writing for this class and still was not making the grade. So confusing! I withdrew because it was distracting from my other classes and was simply just a waste of my time.
