Lectures were engaging and useful. Connected theory to social work practice in a comprehensive manner. Provided useful and interesting examples. Diana is a great professor. I was honestly terrified to have her because of the ratings on this site but she is so knowledgable and really not what people make her out to be. You have to know your stuff and know how to write academically (know how to use APA) and that's really not a lot to ask of fourth year students.

This professor couldn't be more full of herself if she tried. The only feedback she gives is negative, and the only thing she cares about is making sure references are proper. The time and money spent on this course is wasted.

I agree that she is very cold, and being an introvert is a horrible excuse. She is not fair with students, judges students and other profs, and as one indicated VERY DEFENSIVE.

Amazing prof! I am so glad I was able to get taught by her twice before I graduated. She is there for the students and up todate with her information. She is what social workers strive to be and I am glad I had the opportunity to learn as much as I can from her.

Comment:

She may appear aloof and distant but you underestimate her genuine interest in students and their lives. Is very helpful and willing to accommodate with assignments. Never judge a book by its cover. As Social Workers, you need to use your skills to assist others and if you are stopped by Diana, social work is not for you.Best prof EVER!!!!!

Comment:

Had Diana in 3rd year and liked her, but this year (6 credit course), I believe she is the best prof I've ever had. She is approachable, knowledgeable and has a great deal to offer all students in this field. Highly recommend taking as many courses with her as possible! You'll appreciate the wealth of information you will attain from her.
